Such beautiful experience and so close to nature and you dub the sound of the paddle in the water with irrelevant music taking from the experience. Would you not think the atmosphere and acoustics of the water in the cave would add much much more and give a closer sense of the experience. Thanks for posting btw
I have a Stratos 14.5L. I can say that it's not quite as fast as some of the other 14 footers out there. However, what it lacks in speed (not too much) it makes up for in Maneuverability. Hands down. Can turn on a dime with the skeg up.
Greetings from Germany I'm kayaking in two thousand twenty one here.
Just bought one of these but the L, looking forward to getting some surf on but hoping for a little warmer weather soon. Question: Is the Dagger logo a stylized kayak and paddle, or a kayak doing a stern squirt?
*I am very pleased with my kayak.▫▫▫>**share4.photo/sKayak?Rと** It handles well and is perfect for, me, a novice. I was especially pleased that it was delivered before we originally thought it would be. I wanted the kayak before the 4th of July and it was scheduled to come in after. It arrived July 2nd! One suggestion, it should come with paddles.*
Does the Stratos surf better than a Valley Gemini SP? Just had a surf course and the Gemini nearly always broaches. I'm looking for something more forgiving and use as a rock garden boat also?
I walked around on top of Downpatrick Head a month ago. The bright area halfway through the video, unless I'm mistaken, is a huge sink hole in the middle of the cliff. The paddler goes over a shallow area that must be the collapsed rock. The whole cliff area is a series of collapsed cliffs, sinkholes and future sinkholes. Knowing a bit of geology I found it kind of scary-exciting--it's all going to collapse..but not right away.) However, there was a line of three small sink 'divots' about a meter across and less than 300cm deep. How new or old were these? What are they going to do next? The sea stack at the end was once linked to the coast by a stone arch. This collapsed during a hurricane in the middle ages trapping the people who lived on it. They were lowered by ropes. I got the impression that underneath would be a whole series of caves. (You can see more if you turn off the music...why why do people make great videos like this and then add bad music? ) At some points you can see the roof becomes a crevasse disappearing up into darkness. What's happening at the sides? If you get the chance Downpatrick Head is a great visit (and so is the Ceide Fields nearby.) Thanks David Horkan for this video.
this kayak is also a very good whitewater boat handles class 4 just fine rolling it is a little harder than normal for a whitewater boat but just swing farther out to the side and its easy
David Horkan It will be mainly what you were at in this video riding 3/4 waves, having fun in the surf zone. Messing around in rock gardens and some close coastal paddling.. But by and large I'd say 90% in the Sea..
Well, although you're not the one in this picture ( shot Aug 20, 2014) www.panoramio.com/photo/94961667 it will give you an idea of how you looked compared to that rock
