Re: Duelist, doubling attacks was absolutely negligible. Tripling attacks now makes it even the slightest niche. Seriously, if a super niche rule that is hard to pull off (and doesn't even contribute directly to the main win con of almost all scenarios, routing US units), it needs to be game changing when it at last connects. Duelist needed to change.
The TK chariot list is held together by the rally 2, weakness and bloodhex. It’s weaker, but it’s still problematic unless the chariots get cost corrected too.
Nice talk, next do regular Orcs!? How do you get them to work best, what do they need to bring them more into line with other armies in terms of flavour and ability?
How do I submit my application to be a a southern ambassador to the northern offensive when I return to KoW. My bonafides are Freedom, NY is across the street and Eagle NY is 1.6Kilometers away
I don't think it's bad. The loss of the formation hurts, but several units received minor boosts so, likely a list that remains in level but doesn't move up to top tier.
That suggestion was something I only thought up last night. Would need to be refined, but I think Mantic could do something cool using their existing Dambuster, Centurion on Wrym, and the chariot model as a base with Aura's or unique army upgrades associated with each one. I don't get where the chariot base and model rules originated from so I don't think much would be lost.
DEF 6+ - all we have is cheaper Dambusters, Coral Giant and 3xLB with extra piercing. Sadly I think Mr Luke winning Masters did not help the army at all. "Oh You can win with it" argument is valid and we can see it in the changes. Little bit here, little bit there. NA rules sells models. New TR rules do not discard You from buying models which is not the same. Especially Siren and Dambusters (both in starter boxes)! Loosing nimble after reasonable cost reduction (how nimble makes them similar to Wyrmriders even remotely?) looked like "extra caution" not to make them too good. Treeleaper dambusters looks very tasty but I get why everyone is concerned with 165 points cost. I will use my plastics to build Treeleaper version (I already have 3 units of resin ones!) and give them a spin. We will see. Overall I like the cautious pace of rule changing but NS and TK armies gave us a wrong impression about what to expect in an army update.
18:00 - it does work on elemental itself! "In the Movement phase, after this unit has completed its order, THIS unit and all Friendly Core units within 6”: As a Trident King player - drop in attacks hurts his shooting a little (he got shattering) but overall, with extra TC, he got slightly, slightly better.
Thanks for the Radiance pick up - we goofed up. Not a rule I have used to date in any of my armies. I agree with the Trident King getting slightly better, just wasn't commonly seen before, not likely to be more common as a result of these changes (in my opinion).
@@Nerve_Check King's changes were cosmetic but multiplies to the flank! 24 4+ CS1/TC1 attacks does approx. 11 wounds to a def 5 unit. Old version does 8 on average. So an improvement. I like the idea behind 3 kings but this one has one interesting aspect. Chariot base which adds to the option pool.
Pathfinder is something RC tries to keep under control. Avey Pathfinder upgrade becomes autoinclude and we already have Naiads (wyrms/ensnarers) and Riverguard with built in pathfinder.
Pathfinder (and it's immense availability) was one of the reasons I was drawn to this army (nimble being the other factor). I agree with keeping pathfinder in check, but losing it completely from the Thuul hurt a lot.
4:21 - it is worth keeping in mind that Poison Frog is now widely avaliable. To Thuul, Depth Horrors, naiads... And riverguard (javelins), got not only extra attacks but nerve and defence.
The poison frog change is in my mind one of the most significant positive changes to the list. Previously I had brutal on my wyrms, but this allows for more changes and options. Very happy to see it!
@@Nerve_Check this is a way to get morę punch in the list. This "one extra" is golden on a non punchy list. And a reason I might take wyrmriders one day.
Ah man! It will be great to see you all. Yes - my beard is gone, just a (small) goatee! And I am expecting to do poorly, but these were the models I have!
@@Nerve_Check so I had about 1600 pts that were 1 for 1 in each list. And then I kind of figured what I wanted to add from there, eg: third hammer, extra phoenix, a little bit more shooting. And then worked out what to add where from there.
