Paul knew how to handle the press, was wise to get out in front of the story by addressing it rather than not commenting. A lesson for any aspiring PR folks.
James Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966. Brian Epstein with the consent of the authorities at the time and the three Beatles, he decides to replace Paul with a right-handed session musician named William Shepherd. Everyone involved, including their families, vowed to keep everything a secret. However, The Beatles produced over a hundred clues about Paul's death in their albums and images. William underwent numerous cosmetic surgeries to resemble Paul. William is two inches taller than Paul, William has green eyes, William has a weaker and thinner voice than Paul, William has totally different manners. Musically, Paul was a genius, William is a weak musician.
I know this was posted a loooong time ago, but I think I'll ask anyway.... Where is the clip around 9:15 from? He is talking to somebody in a car and it looks like he is at a farm... Thanks
I was at the concert in Tampa in 2005 and saw Paul fall into the hole where the piano comes up and thought. Ok the shows over. Im glad Paul was ok. Paul acted like it never happened and played all night. Btw that was the night he spoke to the astronauts at the ISS in space. Still have the copies of the tickets.
As the saying goes, you can take the lad away from Liverpool, but you can't take Liverpool away from the lad. Such a lovely talented man and drop dead gorgeous!
