Jesus didn't die on the cross for everyone who believes in him. He taught that obedience is required to enter his kingdom: Matthew 12:46-50 says: "While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Jesus also warned: Matthew 5:30 "And if your right hand causes you to stumble, (sin) cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."
Let's have a look at this idea that Christians keep repeating, that God gave up his only son to be tortured and executed so that the sins of mankind could all be forgiven in one fell swoop. First, I don't see what God had to do with any of the dramas and politics on Earth regarding the crucifixion. He was sitting on his cloud in Heaven or wherever he was dwelling and didn't give his son to anybody, much less mankind. He kept right out of the business unless he was the one who betrayed Jesus, if that happened then poor old Judas was made a scapegoat and God owed him an apology. OK, so everybody's sins were forgiven at once but surely God would have realized that people weren't about to stop committing sins just because one of them was executed, no matter how famous he was. So what was the purpose of the whole exercise? Now let's get back to God's unwillingness or inability to save his son from from an horrendous end, What type of father would allow this to happen when he could have intervened and given a greater example to the world of his forgiveness to mankind than to allow an unjustified crucifixion? And what did Jesus think of his old man after God refused to help him and watched the whole show twiddling his thumbs in Heaven? It's all so silly.
Lili, you seemed to believe that there is a God and that this God, according to you, is not involved in the events on Earth and he should be a father that would love his own son so much that he would not give his son up to redeem mankind. How did you know that God is like what you think He is?
@@rebornbaptistchurch2823 No, the real question is, how do you know your God exists and what proof do you have except for the words written in old book of lies and fairy stories in the bronze age by illiterate camel herders and religious fanatics?

Aaron, salvation is to be saved from God's wrath and just penalty for sin, and an eternity in the lake of fire. All man are born sinners, and are lost, condemned and under God's wrath for sin. The penalty of sin, as mentioned above, is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire, where the torment of flames never end. Jesus, the unblemished, and only acceptable sacrifice for the penalty of sin, died on the cross, to shed His blood for the entire world to wash away their sins. Being the only sinless man, only He can atone for the sins of man. Being the eternal God, only He can atone for the sins of the entire world. Many people claim to be saved but are not, and are therefore still in danger of God's judgment. I was once that way. For 22 years, I thought I was saved but was not. God was merciful and gracious, and dealt with me for 22 years until I came to see my sinfulness, lostness, and hopelessness without Christ. The problem is that many of those empty 'professers' trust their profession than believe God. Sadly, one day, they will learn they were never saved when Jesus condemns them. It is my hope that all of them will come to the knowledge of the truth, and be saved.
Many of the people you mentioned, pride would have kept them unsaved, but thank God for HIs mercy and longsuffering, that they came to repentance and faith!
