We haven't found anyone yet that said they'll do it, so I do think this might have been a first yes. And I've already done the measurements for 35's on the van. However I think I will lose a lot of indoor space then 😂
Great first night camp spot. Donkey is so small. I hope you all had hot showers. Your dog is very active, but if you don't mind the question, what is the skin problem or is it just the fur colour?
It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The donkey had to be done before each ones shower though, was a little small yes 😂 but on the positive side, 8min and it's fully heated. She just turned 1 year old, so still very active yes, but loving the outdoors. That is the fur color, so she is a Dachshund, but her coat color is dapple/tri merle.
Thank you 😁 Really glad you've enjoyed it and like them. His is actually custom, he did everything himself, from the ground up. Very impressive. Part 2 will be releasing soon, just a few final touches to the editing 😉
Great video. I have the same caravan a 1982 model. What did you change on the suspension? I didn’t know these old vans could do what you do with yours.
Thank you very much, glad you've enjoyed it 😁 Mine is 1987 and I did change quite a lot. There will be a video soon where I go through all of it. I have so many requests for such a video. So standard they can't really do it, you'll definitely break something/everything 😂 Some modifications are needed.
Beautiful nature. Sien uit na die 2e episode. Veilig Reis en geniet julle gate uit. Luv y'all. Marie Snyman.... Vryheid KZN.
Another awesome video ...stunning places, and love that you travel with the doggo 🐶 😄. After watching a few of your videos, what stands out for me is the decency with which you treat people on your travels...helping stuck folks out on bitterly cold snowy passes, utilising local resources, restaurants and shops, chatting with cyclists and locals and just having the common decency to treat everyone you come across with respect ...this is the true South African way of life we need to remember🤗 - there is too much hatred and bitterness in the world 🙄... Thank you and keep them coming 🙏
Wow, thank you so much for this comment 🤩 It's comments like these that makes it so worth while. To hear that it's being enjoyed and that we are able to share positivity in this world. As you've said, there's so much hatred and bitterness in the world. So thank you for noticing these things and leaving this beautiful comment. I'll definitely keep them coming and the doggo will be joining ALL of them as well 😂
PS: ek is GROOT voorstander van "Xplore SA" - so baie mense gaan oorsee besoek.
We are extremely overwhelmed by being flooded with literally 100's of amazing comments/messages on RU-vid, Instagram and TikTok. Thank you to each and everyone who is taking the time to watch our videos. We appreciate every single view, more than what you know. Never did I think that this would be possible 😁 Much love, The entire crew ❤
Thank you very much 😁 And no, we would never use the tow hook, we're aware that becomes a bullet when breaking off. I have a different mounting bracket (the tow hook is at the end of it) at the bottom of the Prado, we use that in such cases. I still need to add another recovery point though.
Respect to you guys for recovering/ in some cases requiring some people 👏 ❤..you gained a subscriber and l will be sharing all your uploads...great stuff guys😊
Thank you Christoff! PS: You have used the kinetic strap quite a few times that day (in teenstelling met wat sommige 4x4 "gurus" aanbeveel!).
No problem 😁 Yes, they suggest to leave it/let it rest after a few pulls/attempts, but that is usually after using a large amount of the total MBS as far as I understand. Not sure how much we've used that day, but it wasn't flat out, full force pulls. But yes, the experts would probably have done it differently. Maybe even have used a winch instead 🤷
@@ChristoffSmit thank you for your feedback. PS: I have watched most of your videos - well presented, especially all the drone "recons". Keep going - waiting for your next off road recoveries!
We salute you guys - you did tremendous recoveries! PS: be prepared! People should always (1).carry water, warm clothing/blankets and some form of food (eg. Pronutro bars or similar) in their vehicles when venturing offroad (especially in snow conditions!). (2).carry the necessary 4x4 recovery equipment, i.a. a shovel, traction boards, hi lift jack, recovery ropes/blankets, proper recovery points, shackles, recovery dampers, winch, etc. If you don't have experience driving in snow don't rely on the buttons of your latest 4x4 model - get training at a reputable 4x4 training centre!
Thank you for the notes, people should really keep these things in mind when venturing out. You never know what you might run into, especially in conditions you're not familiar with or if you don't have a lot of experience.
Besides being heroes (which most definitely are) you guys are also very entertaining. Thanks for letting us experience a snow adventure from the comfort of our homes. Lots of respect to you ouens.
You can trust an Afrikaner to get you out of a tough situation , I know this because my Boss is Afrikaans, you guys are absolute heroes, taking the time to assist those in need. That V6 Prado though.
Haha, sounds like you have some experience yes 😂 We always try to make a plan, glad you approve and enjoyed. That V6 Prado looks good hey? Thank you though, it took a while to get it the way I want.
@@ChristoffSmitit's a pleasure, my wife and kids also enjoyed the channel last night, Al's those tyres, that V6 didn't get into much trouble, very impressive
Thanks, while you do help people, you also provide some fantastic footage for my training in Search And Rescue on exactly how not to behave and what not to do in terms of irresponsible use of assets. While I have often talked of people doing totally irresponsible stupid things in a 4x4 in remote areas, I've never up till now had any actual footage of boys using toys they are not old enough to use responsibly. Thank you, Harvested and filed.
Thank you 😁 It does help yes, especially when using all terrain tyres. It only helps a certain amount though, not as much as in sand, but I would recommend deflating them. Depending on your brand of tyre, I would suggest between 1bar to 1.3bar. Enjoy the trip, should be lots of fun.
Oh 😳 That might be a problem. Firstly, the intense cold could affect the battery. So the car might not even work. Or the battery will just drain quite quickly and not deliver the power as usual.
Great work guys, some of those folk would have been stuck a long time without you. Ok so hooning around on the rev limit is not my thing but great effort for getting out there an helping folk. What tyres are you running on the 120, they seem to work REALLY well in those conditions. Again great effort! (Fellow Prado Driver (95) )
Thank you, appreciate it 😁 Nice to run into a fellow Prado owner on here. I do know the rev limiter thing is not for everyone, we're maybe a bit wild at times 🤷 I'm currently running BFG Muds, they are 35's. I swap out tyres quite often, but I am honestly so impressed with these. Would highly recommend them. Since the winter started, I've had them in the dunes, mud, clay and now snow. They perform great everywhere.
