So cool to stumble upon this. Tony used to come to the bluegrass jams at the 5th String in Berkeley and play banjo every so often back in the late 80's. Such a beautiful walk down memory lane to hear his drive, expression, and musicianship here 3 decades later. Luke's lyrical and percussive/rhythmic violin and yearning harmony vocals are the perfect accompaniment. Out of the dozens of versions of Peggy O here on RU-vid, this is the most beautiful and moving.
2:03 where ever the off screen Cellist was definitely got an earful afterwards 😂 the way Agnes looks off in annoyance at that completely missed note cracks me up
Atomic Number I'm not the freckled maid I'm not the fair-haired girl I'm not a pail of milk for you to spoil Why are the wholesome things The ones we make obscene Latin words across my heart Symbols of infinity Elements so pure Atomic number I am a spark Of this machine Purring like the city bus Why are the wholesome things The ones we make obscene Well, if your mercy's lost I have enough for us Latin words across my heart Symbols of infinity Elements so pure Atomic number Latin words across my heart Symbols of infinity Elements so pure Atomic number My atomic number My atomic number My atomic number
Woke up one morning to blood on the bed sheets. My wife was 17 weeks pregnant at the time. We rushed to the hospital immediately expecting that she was experiencing a miscarriage. On the way, this song was playing on a random Spotify playlist. For obvious reasons the song resonated deeply with me in that moment. Ultimately everything ended up being ok. The bleed was caused by a subchorionic hematoma. My son is 4 months old today. Still think of that moment when I hear this song and it makes me so grateful for what I have.
I hope to God a new generation will hear and appreciate the beautiful voices and music 🎶 and band that i am in awe of heaven sent the world needs to hear this
