Wow the memories this brings up. In 1983 I was going to school at Ft Devens MA just outside of Ayer MA for 13months. once or twice a month my friends and I would ride the train to Boston Gardens and then travel the city. It looks to have changed a LOT sense then. The USS Constitution has had a major refit sense I was there. I couldn't believe how short the ceilings were and how thick the wood was. BTW the USS Constitution is the only warship still active that has sunk another ship in battle. It really would be nice to get back there and see all that has changed. Nice new channel you two!
Bikes are the best way to explore wherever you are. Easy to stop and have a look at anything that catches your eye unlike a car. Maybe you should add in a train journey - take out the vehicle parking completely. You have mentioned it before, but I am not sure how good the system is there. You can catch a Go Transit train from Niagara falls (with special bike carriages), and take your bike into Toronto to bike along the waterfront. My wife and I lived in Burlington halfway between and have ridden to both, so you could take the train one way and bike the other. 130km=/80miles.
I really enjoy these! And what a great microcenter!! I was at MIT CISR for a number of sessions and got to visit that exact one! Nothing like that in Canada unfortunately. Boston is such a great city. If you guys ever come to Toronto I can take you on a similar tour. Lots of great paths / routes here.
17:51 - Hi Guys. You guys probably know this already but I'll say it anyway. You two are so fortunate to not only still have each other but also to continually share time with one another via your co-produced channels. I truly enjoy seeing fathers and sons working together, hanging out together, sharing interests, etc. The first time I lost my father I was five years old, when my parents divorced. A further two years would elapse before I'd see him again (briefly) while walking to school one morning. This was the second time I lost my dad. 9 YEARS LATER! We'd had absolutely no communication since that brief encounter until I'd reached my sixteenth year and received, par avion, an envelope containing his handwritten last will and testament. I'd now lost my old man for the third and final time. I knew then that although he wasn't a good husband, he was still my father but I'd never get to know him as a parent, advisor, mate, anything, ever. So, Zac & Jesse, keep being each other's best bud and give each other a strong handshake and a big hug from me.
Wild ride, boys. A little over a week ago, I got a surprise 60th birthday gift from my sister... an E-bike. Not the highest end model, of course - those things are way too expensive - but more than enough for my purposes. Since my knees are pretty much shot, biking on anything other than a flat surface (or downhill) is nigh impossible, so an E-bike means I can ride again. In fact, I took my bike took my dental appointment and from there on to the hardware store and finally, the grocery store before heading home. It's a great way to run errands without having to fire up the van as long as I don't have too much to carry.
Great commentary, video and route. However 10x speed is annoying. The whole point to watch this was to enjoy the ride and scenery as if you were there riding with you. Better to have a longer video with large portions at normal speed.
One of many trails, the swamp rabbit trail in Greenville SC is a good one. 20 miles and much more expansion planed. Maybe as far as Fountain Inn (Teslas warehouse for parts and such).
Good content but I dont find the high speed footage that atractive. I would like to see more of where you are ridding. Watch Ryan Van Duzar and his cycling adventures.
Massachusetts has a lot of these weirdly pronounced town names like Peabody, Gloucester, Worcester, Billerica - just to name a few. I suppose it's how we know if you're from outta town ;)
Same in Utah. Hurricane is hurricun like the British say it. I really like how complete your videos are. I had to watch several videos to trace the trails in St. George. We need you two to take a long trip and make one here. I found your channel because of your Tesla channel. We have a Tesla and love it. Other trails are located in Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park and South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
¡Hola desde México! Hello from México! This is your amigo Roy Dudley of the Aptera Rotary Caravana project. As an avid bicyclist for over 65 years, I always try to wear very visible bright colored clothes, especially here in México where us cyclists are extremely vulnerable with car traffic. Congratulaciones on your new channel. ¡Mucho éxito! Have great success!!! 🤠
First, I think this channel is a great idea and look forward to more. I would like to suggest a bit different format though. The sped up footage is almost too dizzying to watch. Do we really need to see every mile you ride? I think not. Normal speed and footage of important sections is good enough. Thank you for your consideration. Oh, and I think the suggestion by others to cut out the music is a good one too. Most of us ride without music, so why do we need it when watching the video? Hearing the pedaling, e-motors whirring and paths sounds are fine with me.
Great inaugural video guys! Looking forward to many more. How about for us geeks, giving a few stats on the bikes and the trip. How big is the battery? What did you have left in the "tank" after the trip?
Love the new content. When you make to my part of the country San Diego, CA and if you want a "Now We Adventure" tag a long crew on a ride, or in our Cybertrucks up to the new Hollywood Tesla charger then let your viewers in this are know ahead of time.
I really like that route. I've not really looked into this, but would like this kind of thing locally. Specifically routes that are not 'on the road'. Preferably at all, but if it must be, something properly done for bikes.
You don't necessarily "have to". Most of them will let you do just pure 'throttle' and just let the motor do it. More of a personal choice ... some exercise along the way. Extends your range too, of course.
@@JT_771 Mine is almost 4 years old. It has no throttle. Peddling is the only speed sensor. I heard it was a legal issue. I just found this in support: Legally, to classify as an electric bike, the motor has to assist your pedalling. UK and EU law, along with regulations in Australia, limit the top speed for a motor on an electric bike to provide assistance to 25kph/15.5mph. In most states in the USA, there are three e-bike classes. Class 1 e-bikes can provide input up to 20mph, while Class 3 e-bike motors can keep going up to 28mph. Above that, the motor has to cut out. You can ride above that speed, but under your own power or downhill.
@@toddmarshall7573 In addition to simple preference (assuming someone has a bike that has a throttle of course), yes, for some areas I'm pretty sure there are some classification issues ... need to have them to call it a 'bike', etc. Not everywhere, but some places (probably quite a few & growing, would be my guess).
Jesse & I are so excited to launch our new channel. We invite everyone to contribute your thoughts and experiences so we can all have amazing adventures! This is our first episode of many more to come in the coming weeks. Hopefully you'll see an improvement in the quality as we learned a lot over our next few trips. Thank you to Brian for doing such a fantastic job of editing together hours of footage and adding this great map to help our adventure make sense.
