I have zero complaints about it being electric swapped, but it was just done the wrong way. It would be way better if the electric motor was a 8k rpm motor, and hooked to a TKX with a manual clutch. Then you could still have fun shifting gears, could still take off just like a normal ev with no clutch, and it would retain some dignity. I love EVs but they are boring.
I love what the gentleman did, he had a vision he dreamed and build it, most of these clowns in this comment section dont even know which side of a screwdriver use but have an opinion on this mans build..
I love it!! Living in Cali, where emissions enforcement is getting harder on ICE vehicles. Where can you get clean HP/ torque without having to deal with bye yearly smog inspection. I would do this to my classi car.
Perhaps a 25-75hp, >300lbft motor attached to manual transmission. H/S in 97 there was an EV competition, our team fell apart but plan was to build a EV gocart. Saw a foxbody w/ an electric motor hooked up to the T5. Flashback
I’d drive that car! Every day! Right past the gas pumps. Definitely not a road trip vehicle, but I’d sport that car around town for errands or cruise nights.
There’s a school shop class that successfully completed an electric motor swap years ago. They were able to mount an adapter plate that allowed the use of a T5. It was a Calypso LX I believe.
Great peice! Love this Electrification project! Been following it since way back when... FYI, your narration was way too low in the edit. I would reedit it, fix the volume issue because I really couldn't hear your voice throughout. Otherwise awesome!
Im just not into it but then again im not into any electric car, i love my 88 i built a 331 at home and it amazes me everytime i drive it, took alot to get where it is but it was worth it.
This was really cool! I found them on youtube a while back and was hoping you would run into them at a show! Been hoping someone was going to do a swap with the FRPP Eluminator Mach E set up.
Love it! There was ALOT of time, effort, and money put into this foxbody and i think its very cool. Imagine being at the light beside this...mindblowing! I didnt hate on the nasty electric cobra ford played around with and i wont hate on this. Great build!!
We all know how hard it is to stand out with a foxbody these days because these builds are getting more and more ridiculous, I personally think it’s awesome to shake things up from time to time. I have a buddy with a 79 notch with a 7.3 turbo diesel in it so to me different is cool
When I was growing up I was always told a motor was electric and a engine was gasoline / fossil fuels. . . I'm really not with the electric car thing but this is ONE BADASS FOX and I wouldn't mind owning it BEST LOOKING EV HANDS DOWN!!!
I love the engineering. But it is a battery powered car. U have more ways to power an electric motor than batteries. That power to weight is 🔥! Better than any new battery powered cars. Good job bro.
Wow super cool! Motor is a generic term for a powerplant. I think powertrain would cover it. I prefer to use "engine" for fossil fueled and "motor" for electric. Nice clip of the pastor!
I can appreciate the work and engineering skills, but I also believe if he’s paying the bills then he should be able to do whatever he wants with his car! That’s the problem with America today, people think their way is the only way
Kenneth Shawn You have the baddest ( the baddest freaking Fox body Notch back in the world brother 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 But this one Fox body is a very unique build … Keep the Fox body content coming brother
Same here, I took my original block and built it into a 331 fully built arp everything trickflow top end stage 1 cam systemax upper and lower bbk 75mm pro-m 75 mm, I took it as far as a person probably should for a daily driver and I can't wait to jump on a LS or a coyote for that matter
