Hey mate, thank you for sharing. How did you go with the light? Would you still recommend buying one of these, or do you reckon spend a bit more and get a better one?
13:40 I just got the same headlight for my 500. I get the night blindness with the stock headlight. I definitely notice the difference. Thank you for the Great video, I’m going to install it tomorrow morning.
Thanks for the vid mate, my trickle charger isn’t working and I’d hoped by watching this I could she some light on how it was connected. Mine is also a 2016 so your vid has been so helpful
not a chance in hell I would trust that thing, look up Edison's in Sydney mate $200 free delivery for a hydraulic stand with safety points and castors rated at 800kg, I got one they are great and piece of mind ya bike wont tip
Hey mate thanks for the video. I'm removing mine to install a reversing camera. Couldn't see how you got the yellow clips out. I'll be using the same ones too replace the trim again so don't want to brake them. Any tips ? Cheers Andy
Was there a reason you did not use the two frame tube cradles that came with the jack ? Scissor jacks I've seen without those cradles have a thick rubber pad on the top surface, your jack lacks that pad so I can't help thinking your bike might slip on/off the jack (unless you use your cradles provided).
Hey man I love the video. I have recently put 10.5 inch shocks on my street 500 and it has made a huge difference. I know you made this video a while ago but if youre thinking of doing some other mods I have made a few videos, one being of a custom tail tidy I have done and I reckon its something you could do as well. It makes the bike look a lot cleaner with a fraction of the price to buy a tail tidy and get it installed. Ill post the link if you want to give it a view and let me know what you think. Keep up the good work ru-vid.com/show-UCd-57sSatoMd-i4pOP2ayzA
Well they made a 500cc and a 750cc. The way to tell just by looking at it is the fins on the cylinders. The 500 is all black and the 750 is silver. This bike is the 500cc street.
Hey dude. I bought th 12 inch ape bars and tank lift. If u are planning on getting those can u please make a video of those. Would really help out! Subbed by the way.
@@rezareza4825 I picked it up from Luke Day who makes a few bits and pieces for the Street models (Risers, tank lifts, exhausts etc). It's a pretty simple piece of kit but was easier for me to purchase instead of fabricating at that time
@@metalonmetal2099 thanks for the info. Any possibility to post the picture of kit? Just would like to get some ideas. Thanks in advance! BTW, Luck Day is a store? Could you please send me their website. Thanks!
Hey mate, what you see in the video is pretty much everything I had to do. No extras undone or removed a part from what is shown. I just had to pull some of the cables through their fixings/gromets/cable ties to allow a little more length
@@jakedelacy3003 Yeah I can see that may have been the only option on some. I'm pretty sure my brake line was a really snug fit, but it had just enough give that I could pull enough length through by hand to get the clearance I needed
I have an street 500, ownership 8 months old, I saw number of set up with lowered suspension, it’s not clear to me what are the cons of having it lowered ?
Hey mate, I'm running a Firebrand Loose Cannon at the moment. I'm not sure what it does for performance, but it gives the bike a decent sound and makes it a bit more noticeable on the road
Metal on Metal true it shouldn't be that difficult but considering it was way too tight I thought if it would have been better to try the ring spanner.... Anyway you got it done at the end!
@@MotoVikz I just went back and rewatched the video to try and help my memory haha. I think the smartest thing I could have done was remove all the other shock bolts and then use the bike lift to change the position of the swing arm to help gain better access to that bolt head. I kind of did it this way when putting it back together, and it's what I would recommend to anyone trying this if they have a similar issue to me. I'm just learning as I go and trying to show people my experiences along the way so hopefully they can learn from my mistakes too! Cheers mate
I didn't get a video of my tank lift install unfortunately and I haven't seen any others around for a street model either. I plan on pulling the tank off to do a wire tuck/clean up soon, so I'll be sure to cover it in the video!
