I'm happy that you recorded this. The audio sounds phenomenal. I was there as well. I crowd surfed and got escorted to the back just before Lake Bodom. My only regret was that I didn't arrive early enough to get closer but I had the chance to meet Roope Latvala so whatever. What a time. It's crushing knowing that we will never experience this ever again. Rest in peace Alexi.🤘
I cant believe i just watched the end of one of the biggest bands in my library. I need to go to work and im crying. What a legacy. I remember the start of them, are you dead yet when i was in high school. Then Hexed, and Alexi passing away. It went by so fast. I feel old now.
And to think that Roope was there and only stayed for the 3 first songs... I kinda feel bad for everyone involved. Lots of drama which was the total opposite of the band at its beginnings, but well, that's human nature I guess.
I am so glad this video exisits.....I wish they would have done a DVD of their last show! It still hurts to know I'll never see Alexi live, or ever again. Maybe I can visit the Bodom Bar and Sauna someday \m/
I tried to record too but the quality was crap ! Amazing work my friend, thanks for sharing, that night will stay in my mind and heart for ever 🖤🇫🇮 Ps: you forgot to mention Deadnight Warrior in the setlist, that was a surprise that they played it 🔥
That blue Mohawk going around in the circle. That’s me. Best day of my life. And also one of the most emotional. It seems like since they broke up and Alexi died the whole world fell apart.
With this being Children of Bodom's last ever performance as well as one of Alexi Laiho's last shows before his recent passing, I don't think anyone can understate the importance of this video. Thank you SO much for recording this piece of musical history
I just Still Couldn't understand why would 20 years of friends would just break up like this and SO EASILY... Do People there in North are really so COLD to give up relationships just like a snap??? I mean I have fuckin Love these guys (Henkka, Janne, Roope, also Alexander (ex guitars),, Much More JASKA and ALEXI both) for Fuckin 18 years at least.. I CARVED COB With RAZORS on MY ARMS When I heard Bed of Razors for the FIRST TIME.. THIS NIGHT WAS A TRAGEDY FOR ME AND EVEN WORST TRAGEDY WHEN JUST RECENTLY ALEXI DIED... Don't know the characters space will end up here. I might need to write a BLOG on what I'm feeling and also thousands of Fans and brothers of Metal like me who have commented below and LIVED CHILDREN OF BODOM, BREATHED COB... LIVED HEAVY METAL. And As Always MY BAD LUCK that as always,, I JUST COULDNT even BE HERe... Guess What I've NEVER EVER even Seen them live.. Cuz they never came where I UNFORTUNATELY Live, that's a SHIt Place known as Pakistan. That has SADDENED me Even Worse. Probably that's why my feelings are even more HURT.
I think they all knew that Alexi wasn't doing well and so I think they decided to end it rather then it fade away. I could be wrong, but I feel your pain buddy 🤘
You know on that day I turned 28, I went from Spain to Finland just for this concert, the last COB concert on my fucking birthday but it was the best day of my life. He was a hero to me and I still can't believe he's gone. Rest in power Alexi.
Alexi was the master of metal and music, he was like the Michael Jackson of Metal in his genius and musical/technical ability he had. God Bless his soul and have mercy on him amen. Iv'e been a COB fan since years back.. great memories with the greatest band to ever do it. Rest In Peace Alexi Laiho ..lets lights a candle for him everyone and send a prayer 🙏🏽
It's more than music, it's about being authentic and genuine, like they always were. That's the main legacy and inspiration COB and Alexi left for me. The story may be over now but it will reverberate forever in our hearts.
Alexi got me into playing guitar 15 years ago. A couple of years later, I have learned all their live setlists and played them for years in my bedroom, having a blast. He was an amazing musician, an awesome person and a great inspiration... RIP.
