Indie is a place where all forms of media can be talked about and developed from animation, television, movies, video games, and books. Here at Indie creative people will be able to create truly captivating and creative stories to be presented and invested in, because there are remarkable creative people in the world with amazing stories to tell but can’t express them in the ways they want because of lack of vision from uncreative people who control the artistic industry whose only concern is money. Indie will be able to help these creatives achieve their visions and dreams.
Animating by yourself is incredibly tedious, but it’s just so rewarding when you finish. One tip I would recommend is watch some of your favorite animated series, but keep an eye out for what tricks they pull to get away with animating very little or not at all. You’d be surprised how much some creative framing and unique direction can split the difference with audiences. It can really help streamline your process. Good luck!
Surprised I didn’t think of that, I’ve mainly studied the background art from series that inspire me and the artists behind them. But also studying how different studios handle creating beautiful animation and staying on track with their projects is a very useful tip! Thanks!!
wow ur actually really good at art i rly hope u make it someday as a struggling indie creator myself i understand how u feel working on stuff and striving for something big time though your way more talented than me lol remember me when u hit it big ;v
The goal is to have a short film/ Animation test done by fall of next year. As for a full animated pilot that depends on a lot of different factors so hopefully by next year I will have a clearer picture on how long production will last.
For me personally whenever I start with a new story idea, I come up with a loose plot initially but my main focus is always the characters. No matter the setting of your story people will attach themselves to your characters and their individual stories first more than any plot so that’s why in my personal opinion creating compelling characters should always be your top priority. From there once you have an understanding of who your character is, what their dreams and goals are as well as their flaws and fears it will become easier to write out their journey and build the world around them so everything is more harmonious instead of a bunch of loose ideas crammed into a single story. But that’s my process for starting new stories so it may not work for everyone, I hope this helps some though and you can start on that Novel!
@@IndependentAnimation I feel I have a good main character. They a synthetic parasite created by an alien species in order to advance their effort in a war. However the program was put on ice and never used. they were discovered by accident when a science crew explored old ruins. In that form the main character neither had consciousness or will and infected their human host in unconscious state. Only after possessing the host were they able to obtain consciousness, and woke up to a world where the war they were destined to fight in is over, their species exterminated by an enemy now extinct, to a crew that hates them by accidentally killing a negligent crew member. The books subplot is about autism and depression, finding a way when everything is lost. But I can’t think of a main plot
That’s a very captivating story! If I had to make a suggestion on a possible main plot, I would say take your main character and thrust them into another war setting having to struggle with fighting for a cause or people they may or may not believe in and also have them try and decide who or what they are beyond being an instrument for someone else fight. But like I said just a suggestion at the end of the day it’s your story!
@@IndependentAnimation that would track the captain of the mid sized archeology ship was previously a captain of a capital class battle cruiser. He is a turtle like alien whose species was at war with earth. Although the reason for the war are hazy it’s generally believed earth was running low on water and his planet was covered in fresh water. His position was granted due to peace negotiations after his species lost the war, and the need to strengthen the military after war. Treated to a massive demotion and bigotry, I hope it’s not too clumsy of a metaphor for racism.
The captain definitely has a solid motivation for wanting to use the main character for his own gain and maybe one day regain his old position and status, and I would say it would be better to compare it to some innate prejudices people have instead of racism. Especially when talking about discrimination of different species that would probably mesh netter with the story I feel.
Definitely taking that as a compliment to be associated with the greatest show of all time! But my style definitely draws inspiration from avatar among other influences
Massive respect for all the work you put into your animation. I know from experience how much time it costs. The reception you're getting on RU-vid is not quite deserving of that effort sometimes, so I hope to see your channel thrive in the future.
@@IndependentAnimation Yeah exactly!! :D You know I’m actually currently working on two MAP parts!! I just finished animating to first part of the first MAP Part I’m animating which is Part 12 and once I’m done with that I’m going to animate Part 13 and afterwards I’ll begin to animate my very own animations hehe!! :D
Yes, this is a very difficult issue. Social media can be a great way to get out there as an artist, but it is a constant inner struggle to survive in any platform. Logic tells us to bend in the way of the algorithm, in order to have any hopes of succeeding. Yet, if we give too much up, we loose what made us artists or creatives on the first place.
And this is the most frustrating part sadly, and we can only hope that someday there will be a platform for REAL artists to be seen in supported by others who appreciate the work we do free from biased algorithms🤞🏾
yaas your skills matter - algorithms do not. musicians goin through this too - and need artists like you so keep an eye on other markets too - you have no idea who may be watching ❤
Thanks for the heads up, I tried to make sure it wasn’t too loud and it looks like I did the opposite. 😅 I’ll make sure to turn it up a little for the next video, and thanks for the like!
i have no idea why one of your videos appeared in my recommended, and seeing that youre pretty underground, something tells me that you are going to be important.
