As a derby fan, what you will get from him is definitely experience and knowledge, but last season he was poor just haven’t got the legs anymore, hope he does some good but not sure.
As an absolute 1000% honest Derby Fan, you haven't got the player you think you have. Legs have completely gone, often struggled to get into the team despite being captain. Only feel the need to comment as you are all getting way, way over excited and I can predict the disappointment once you see him play 😂
I agree, and we are all aware he is not the player he used to be, but to have such a player back in and around the club even if he isn't playing to the ability we have seen in the past it is still a massive signing for us rather then some youth foreign kid who will get no game time and make no impact, we are all fully aware and we are not getting ahead of ourselves at all, good things don't come round often as Barnsley fans !
I went to school with Neill and played with him at Troon thistle as a kid. I’m sad to see this . I don’t understand why 5th was that bad , I thought he done well for his first job here .
Sacked at the wrong time imo, maybe earlier would of been realistic but 1 game to go was a bad choice and I felt sorry for him, just a guy trying to do his job!
