Omg Beyonce ruined this 😂 . She doesn’t know how to interpret this song. So many growls. It’s a protest war about song. It isn’t Tina Turner sweetie. I wish Gary Clark Jr sang the whole thing. He understood the assignment and vocally fit the song like a glove
I hate to say it but i slept on Ed Sheeran's guitar playing for a long time. He has an incredible grasp of theory and techniques and execution but unfortunately he gets kind of just put into the pop category but he can hold his own in a solo contest!
Dude is an excellent musician. That's why he's up there on the stage. All three sent it out of the theatre and up into the stratosphere. Beyonce is so good at driving musicians and maintaining a groove. This is HARD to do people. Either you got it or you don't. Beyonce, Ed, and Gary got it. Talk about understanding the assignment!
I have a 2-parter question to any drummers out there. Can your fingers bleed like Andrew's does while playing the drums? Also... I'm assuming that the condensation on the cymbals is due to Andrew sweating a lot? Does that happen in real life?
Did Andrew really need to do that drum solo after the song had ended? I think he already proved his point to Fletcher by playing awesomely. It was an epic drum solo to say the least but was it warranted? If there were any band or music label recruiters in attendance, I think he would have gotten their attention from Caravan alone. I was just wondering if the drum solo at the end needed to happen.

This whole movie is about "is the juice worth the squeeze?" His father is horrified and sad when he sees his son pick the juice, and realizes that everybody else will be the squeeze. Its a sad ending. Andrew chooses the life of chasing perfection and being the guy who dies early, like the guy they argued about at the dinner table.
This scene has the pull of a train wreck. It’s so twisted but everything from the music to the camerawork and the tiniest details in the actors faces is all just perfect. Genuinely a terrifyingly unsettling ending to a movie where you can’t help but have conflicting feelings about what we can all only assume will happen next.
What makes you think that lol he was in awe at his sons talent. They brushed off their sons music interests while having no idea how incredible he was. His dad was blown away, not sad cause he lost his son lol wtf
@@Itsdnvn This quote is pulled word for word from the script “At the lobby doors Jim watches Andrew -- crazed, exhausted, looks like he's pushing himself past what is safe -- and knows there is no longer anything he can do about it. He has lost.”
I’ll never forget seeing this in theaters and my buddy stood up once the credits rolled and showed me that his hands were flushing completely red from him literally death gripping the theater seat through this entire scene
What exactly is this movie about? I only know it for this scene and this scene only. Jeff Bezos leads a really good big band jazz group, some drummer makes his bones in the music world
