Yeah, I'm not a fan of the adidas template this year. It looks ok if the back and arse are the same colour. Barca is nice, Real too boring, Liverpool is horrific.
Someone commented before I had to reupload but the Ajax shirt might not be the third. I did see a Van Gogh inspired one which is kind of funny becasue there have been the concept/fake Van Gogh ones for ages.
The white and blue on the Arsenal kit looks a bit... Spursy... These all look like really bad / boring designs! Also, why is the Emirates logo so high up on all the shirts they sponsor?
The pricing has made me wary of Shirt in a Box - too many offers and never ending discounts so I can't be sure I'd be getting the best offer. You did well with that PSG shirt though!
The next one is on its way so we’ll see what we get. I think ive decided on a system for reviewing these. If I get a stinker then next month it goes head to head with another brands box and winner stays on
I spend a lot of time on this site and would say 9 out of 10 shirts are fake or not correctly described. I only buy if the seller has correctly shown the code, or I can compare with a shirt I already have. I’ve found some real bargains but yeah it’s time consuming!
That’s the route I’m taking too. I did check their rules- if it’s fake you should get refund and not have to return it. However the number I’ve reported that are obv fake and vinted say “sorry looks fine to us” doesn’t leave me confident. I find the fakes are all uploaded early morning and Tbf I think most dissapear within a day or two. I’ve noticed some patterns that I might share at some point after I’ve done some more digging.
When I find a shirt and after a quick first research I only have a rough idea when and where it has been used, what I do is go to soccerway, “travel back in time”, and google for photos of each game played within my “it’s got to be around that time” margin. Results can be produced as quickly as in two minutes (if the first google search is successful), but also it can be super time-consuming, there have been times I’ve spent more than an hour to find an answer. Aaalmost always though, it works. In this shirt’s case, the “path” I just described produces no results (and I was not surprised). You have a very strong clue, the “02/11”, so the shirt came out of a factory in February 2011. Just to make absolutely sure, I went to Germany’s (women, obviously) last game in 2010. They were still using the previous shirt. First game in 2011, they have switched to the new shirt, which you already know is not the one you have. So, it’s not a match shirt, and the reason why I mentioned earlier “was not surprised”, is because of the sleeves. By 2011, Adidas had already ditched the stripes that went all the way to the end of the sleeves, because they had had to “create space” for competition badges. So, we know the time period, 2011, we know it’s a women’s shirt (two stars, that clue screams out loud), and we know it’s not a shirt they used in matches. So what? I am 99% sure that CFS are wrong, unintentionally misleading (mistakes happen, it’s only normal. For all I know, I could be the one being mistaken here, not they). The shirt they had (I see they no longer have it) as “2010s Germany Women’s Training Shirt”, was NOT a training shirt, it was either a “leisure” shirt, or a “basic” shirt. I think YOURS is a “training” shirt, and to be more specific, it’s a girl’s (not women’s) training shirt, used by U14, U15, up to U16 Germany female national teams. If you want to see what I mean by “basic” (sometimes CFS use the word “replica” instead of “basic”) search for this on their website: “2010-11 Germany adidas Replica Home Shirt”. That’s the men’s shirt “basic/replica/cheaper” version. The one they already sold was the women’s shirt “basic/replica/cheaper” version. By the way, for future use, that women’s shirt on CFS’s website is no longer there, BUT, if you google “2010s Germany Women’s Training Shirt”, it’s the first result that comes up (without the “add to cart” option, as it has already been sold). This is a way to go back to a specific shirt’s page, even after it has disappeared from their website because it’s been sold. Also for future reference, that “keep away from fire” tag, is only found in Adidas kids’ shirts. It’s been like that since… I wanna say 2006?, and it’s still there, I repeat, ONLY in kids’ shirts. When you see a tag like that, instantly you know it’s a kids’ shirt, even if it’s buried underneath a dozen other shirts and the only thing you can see is that tag. Ok, going back to watching the rest of the video. :-) I have no life, so I could take the time to write aaaall this. :-)
Rooting for you man, just started watching you maybe 3 weeks ago but I hope you’ll blow up soon. Maybe switch up the content a bit or change it slightly to fit trends etc. otherwise keep it up :)
Cheers pal! Yeah - this is actually the second channel which helps a bit (Footy Manager is the first channel but it’s in a lull until the new game). With new shirts coming I intend on looking at some of them. Plus some Euros stuff. We also cover a lot of the latest news on @footballshirtsocial. But yeah lots of growing to do
Closest I came to a joblot was a bundle of 5 for £30 last summer. Beckham 23 La Galaxy 07 XL Inter 2009-10 XL Croatia 08 L Lanzarote XL And one other I can't remember. Was in shock that the Beckham and Inter ones were real to be honest
Love football shirt hunting on holiday. I rarely find anything though so id be happy with the items you got. The training shirts definitely has a L not an i 😂
Great video! I went to Palermo 2 years ago and went into all these shops, except the official store in the stadium :) Picked up one of the fake Brunori kits off the street and a real one en route to watching Palermo v Bari.
I think I need to find what happens to all the second hand stuff. There must be a market for it somewhere in Palermo but even though I lived there I don’t know where/what
I use Secret Shirt normally, I've had a decent range from them, usually decent quality stuff as opposed to the cheap stuff I've had from a couple of other sites
Since being on vinted, looking at the shirts you can immediately tell which ones are fake because the shirts are probably from 5-10 years ago and yet when they say they are brand new with tags it’s fake because the tag says 2023 or 2024 so that’s how I tell but my recommendation is going to charity shops for cheap shirts
Yesterday I wanted to buy a a shirt on vinted. Found a lot of nice shirt for pretty good prices. I didnt immediately buy it. Now one day later the whole situation feels kind of sus. 80% of the shirts still have a price tag on it (even if they are 3 years old) but are sold for 20-40€. No way those shirts are real... but you never know tho
I've had 2 shirts from them. 1 being an Argentinian 3rd division team and the 2nd a Mexican 3rd division team. Both shirts are low quality and I probably wont buy again. Better just scouring classic football shirts clearance and discount sections
I know if you go for the Football manager box (even if you arent interested in the game itself) you have a better chance of getting a known team. I liek scouring the discount and clearance sections, but the surprise is always fun.
Surprise Shirts sent me a Polish 2nd Division shirt today, club was KS Dębiec, was very pleased with that! It has a Lion King scene printed on the back of the collar, not sure Disney would 100% approved that. Would have loved the one they sent you also, that is a very cool map shirt.
Hi, been watching some of your video's. Love the channel. I personaly give my wife an X-amount of money to get me a nice shirt instead of ordering it from a company. More fun and more value for money! Keep it up!
Just seen you’ve got a good sized channel Jord. Watched a few of your shirt hunting vids. Deffo something I need to do more myself but worried they’ll always be busts!
@@SiMaggioFootball Thanks! The reward is in the risk 😅. I always try to show the realistic side of football shirt hunting and collecting so in that case it doesn't mater if I find anything. But it really sucks when it happens. Then again finding a banger is so much nicer and exciting after a day of finding nothing. Would recomend doing it for sure!
The Rolling Stones shirt was available to buy but it was a limited release one. Buying from these sites is a proper minefield. I've reported so many sellers as you go to their page and you see two dozen shirts for this season, BNWT all selling for £25 or less.
Cord? (I think this autocorrected from code maybe?) But yeah tags is always way to go- but I also had some sellers waste my time. Photographing the tags should be a requirement.
