Definitely need to add Glidden Premium Exterior - used on all of the TUFF SHED's . Permanizer is a great exterior paint hard to beat has a UV resistant formulation

Excellent content! I've often wondered how (and why) some companies dispense prices with little to no measuring - now I know! On a related note - after trialing your estimating sheets for a few months, I've transitioned from the expensive apps (and their respective limitations) to your tools. Your estimating tools have proved to be easier, faster, less buggy, - and I especially love being able to use them in offline mode when I'm in basements and areas that have bad reception. Please keep the good tools and lessons coming!

Great video. I just looked at my last 10 exteriors and I'm at $5.58/sq ft (only res repaints). I'm also running a 28% close rate on the year. I think my prices might be too high? My worry is I can't find subs who will work for so much less.
Where are you located? That makes this biggest difference. I have seen some places that have 2 to 3 times higher average jobs size compared to here even though home prices are about the same.
@@prosperitypaintingconsulta5362 Washington state 2 hours north of Seattle. My county (and therfore my service area) has about 200,000 population. I would guess our real estate prices are similar.
I am evaluating new crms for my company and I cannot really find anything on yours to give me any feel for what you're offering. I have purchased your spreadsheets and they are great, so I am curious how this crm might work for me. how well will it grow with my company. Do you have a demo video?
The video you commented on is showing a CRM I built on Appsheets, and I now give away for free with no monthly cost. You can get it on my website. I also built a more advanced CRM that I launched this June 2024 that you can try for free, but does have a monthly fee if you decide you want to use it after trying it for free.
Home Depot stops carrying Perminizer😢. I painted my house and my shed in 6/24. Just now, I wanted that same paint for my sisters house but couldn’t find them on shelves anymore at my local HD
I learned that most HD do not carry it, some do, but most don't. Its up to that store if they want to stock it. You should be able to call the HD store and order it and getting it delivered, or if you have a PPG store near you I would try there.
I read a peer reviewed research paper several years ago that came to the conclusion that the single largest factor in the durability of different brands and formulations of paint was the thickness of the coat of paint. I'd say, choose a paint that makes sense to you for the qualities that you find desirable and put it on as thick as you can...

Wow, this video is a hidden gem! Most of the "how to estimate" videos I've seen are just straight up trash -- they're made by painting companies that don't actually want you to know how they are estimating jobs. This spreadsheet is super detailed and basically takes everything it possibly can into account to give an accurate estimate. Thank you!
Im just having trouble getting customers to call. I do quality work at decent prices. Great with clients but I suck at marketing. Yelp & others basically steal from you...all I got is fb, google, & door hangers.
