Yes you could see the Axe in mikas pov for an frame Mika aimed for an strike to the Cockpit and Crank deflected it upwards to the more unimportant Spot He couldnt complete against the Barbatos strenght so he couldnt just push it down And his axe is not build to stab so he couldnt deflect to eins side Adding more of an angle and Power made mika miss and overreach which game him time to Grab ein and retreat Crank is an good ms pilot
I've always loved that the tone is set here. Mika and tekkaden don't care about rules of engagement etc, first attack he goes for the kill blindsiding orlis, then immediately uses the mobile workers as shields
…care? More like hypocrisy. Ein wasn’t crying while Orlis was wiping out a bunch of mobile workers. His is false righteousness. He’s perfectly willing to stand by while atrocities are committed by his side, but once comeuppance occurs, it’s a problem.
This is the third time I’ve seen this scene of Barbatos emerging from the Martian earth, and I haven’t missed out on getting the chills yet. It’s so well done, so brilliantly animated, and the music is wonderful. Because of its elonged helmet and slightly different shaped body, it has a small animalistic trait that makes me love it. One thing that doesn’t fit me with the Gundams in general is the repetitive humanoid design, especially the head, which is why I tend to love the Zakus and other non-Gundam mechs (the Glaze is one of them [plus robot cyclops heads for life]) as they get creative. Also why I like many of the Gundam Breaker Gunplas because as much I enjoy good lore behind the technology and designs in these shows, a break where they throw legitimate practicality and technology lore away in making them and just make fun, cool designs like Barbataurus really satisfies me as a complement to a franchise. What you have with Barbatos is a happy medium, something new that still makes it recognizable as a Gundam. Something that feels fresh and familiar And I just got into Gundam in June, so only nearly two months have passed since I got my first taste. Wonderful franchise to get myself into, and another hobby to add to my workspace, one far more affordable than 40K even if I can’t play and roll dice with the mechs
I'm not into 40k and the like, but I have heard of a game called Gamma Wolves that is designed to be played with Gunpla in mind. I heard about it through a video by Milennial Model Mayhem where he was painting a Gouf Custom like a mini and attaching it to a base to be used for the game.
I honestly love how much more demonic looking Barbatos looks compared to other main protagonist Gundams. Its claw-like hands, long torso, how the head looks more like horns than a warrior helmet, how its legs are elongated with claw like feet. It definitely makes Barbatos stand out a lot more compared to other main protag Gundams
In this scene is when I started to hate Ein. "Only a coward attacks mobile workers!" Coming from the guy that was taking pot shots at mobile workers saying it was too easy. Ein is literally the only thing I hated in this season.
I don’t get how some people like him. He was like Julietta, but worse. She at least by the latter part of season two was genuinely trying to understand tekkadan and her and their place in the world.
@@bigjed3467 When I first started this series I had hope for his character. A half Martian member of Gjallarhorn who got to see their corruption first hand slowly but surely turning away from the organization his mentor/father figure die for. But he never learned or try to empathize with his enemies, even Mika who didn't care who he killed realized that his enemies have their reasons for fighting and respected them. Ein just saw a monster where there wasn't one.
@@taigaramsey8061 more like trivialized technological development by making the slowly beam centric tech development in other gundam timelines be unable to do damage assuming that it’s universal
@@TheWarmachine375 to be fair the gn sword is so effective because it coats the blade in gn particles, which makes it functionally a heat hawk, but a thousand times better

@@Franz0818 The lupus rex is no joke, at least on the eyes of Bandai, between it and the Phenex. It beat it and the Phenex could only really use its wings travelling at insane speeds since the psycho waves and constructs of it seem to also become defused when interacting with NL and the Ahab waves.
