Problem now is not even buy or maintain a boat, but where to keep it. It can be as expensive as paying for an actual boat,,,,,, Otherwise you have a beautiful boat right there, enjoy....
Thanks for posting your adventures! My husband and I are looking at the same Jeanneau (same dealer too)! In the heat of a Miami summer, did the AC keep up while you were underway/had the curtains open?
Hi Lisa, In the heat of these new Miami summers with heat advisories, the AC is ok if you turn it on a few hours before you go out. We would leave it on with curtains the night before. If you close the curtains it cools good but without the curtains because of all the windows it is comfortable but not cool like a car.
Hi!!!! Thank you so much! A group of boaters planned a day to go pickup trash. They were promoting it and inviting others through social media. The city found out and asked them to cancel. This was when the islands were still closed. They opened them again a few weeks ago. I think they tried to keep people out during the summer. 😊😊
Ladies I'm hoping to get married soon. Can a yacht with a draft of 6 to 7 feet anchor near the sand bars. I want to take my new wife to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale for our Honeymoon. Hi Wesley! If you come to the Haulover Sandbar in Miami, you can anchor your yacht a few feet away where it is a little deeper on the north side of the sandbar. stick to the channels in the area and from the channel you can go towards the sandbar on the north side. A lot of yachts anchor in that side. if you want to spend the night, there is a little island called Sandspur Island across the sandbar that you can anchor on the west side of the anchor and is very protected. If off the coast I would think maybe it would be federal not a city or county control. The people need to speak up then remove those who have done this to the public.

If we would have gone out through Haulover and skip the slow speed in the intracoastal, It would have been around 2 1/2 hours only. We plan to do that next time. Our average speed, once we passed the Key Biscayne bridge and were able to go fast, was around 37 mph. The ride is beautiful so you don't even feel it 😊
