Right on, love the old BSA'S had a 1952 650 Twin Pre unit and it was a "HARLEY EATER" 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Go Luck with the 350 Single, bad ass Speedway bike 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very interesting. Nice collection of machines. These bikes not only look good they performed ,sounded and went like powers of piss. The modern day units just don't look the part ? 😊😮😢.
Great spot for sure, not far from where I live. Those guys a super skilful. Would have liked the music a bit lower volume so I could hear more of the bike noises. Good job 👍
Hi what is the coating on the barrels , it looks good it reminds me of when I worked as an engine reconditioner 80s and 90s and we got the jag exhaust manifolds done in enamel. Cheers
Another video full of knowledge nuggets. I ride a '39 MOV, which is often mistaken for either an MSS or a MAC. Thank you so much for sharing your mounain of experience with those of us still in the foothills.
A really fantastic condition MSS! But it is a mystery to me how it in such good condition, but has so many tinkerers problems? It looks like it has been kept in a dust proof environment for 50 years then inherited by a person that knows nothing about Velos who just could not keep his hands off things, it is really good that it ended up with you to get sorted out, but still a mystery to me how it in such perfect condition? Do you know the history of this MSS? Stay safe! Chris B.
My friend over here in the UK built lots of these including B33 & Goldstars. I had a B31 clubmans racer. Looked pretty much like a Goldstar. I fitted a B33 500cc Barrel , piston & head onto it. Loved the bike & sold it to a classic bike friend who still has it. I go to autojumbles & you see zero parts for these bikes now. It was around 25 years ago that i had mine & the jumbles were full of complete engines & plenty of parts. How times have changed. Love your build. Steve.
@@OzBSABantams Hey Tony , I didn’t know you were in town, you have been producing some great work. Thanks for the mention in your video. Happy to help out anytime
To Cobra427Veight. If I am on the right track you are talking about the oil metering hole in the bolt. 1/16” measured with a drill bit. I have four bolts that look the same. Two with 5/32” holes and the 1/16” in the other two. So I figured the bigger holes need to be on the oil return line, leaving the small ones for the rockers. I take your point about the push rod tube fitting. I ended up levering it out so I could get the ring in. I certainly don’t profess to know what I am doing, just go with gut feeling. Thanks for watching. Peter
I just put the head and barrel back on my B33 , I think it better to put the rubber into the head and lightly screw the gland nut in and then that nut guides the pushrod tunnel through the rubber . Can you please tell me what size holes are in your rocker spindle banjo bolts , that's the small hole ? , Cheers
Sounds very much like my Ducati 250's, early sixties and my first street legal motorcycles through the seventies. I got honest 100mph out of them, but replaced them with Triumphs and Harleys when I could afford them. Still riding as I approach seventy. Very solid sounding!
Hey, A combination of vibration, dragging clutch and cold oil in the gearbox. Nothing to worry about. A quick clutch adjustment and a good ride to bed the clutch in and it will be fine. Thanks for watching
