There is a typo in the manual. Take a look at the CG diagram carefully. You'll note that the CG line runs AHEAD of the first panel line in the wing. The panel line is located at around 120mm back from the point where the wing root meets the fuselage. Whoever wrote the manual used this 120mm measurement...but it's wrong. the TRUE CG is actually at around 100mm (give or take a handful of mils) which corresponds roughly to a line running through the center of this little fuel filler caps on the wing. I've flown the plane with the CG set 100 mm back on both 2200 and 3200 packs. Flies great. Mystery solved.
I have the newer version of this plane and have encountered the same issue. My battery is pushed way back and can only strapped once. I am following this to see what the issue can be.
Lost the scale look but I dont blame you for doing it - nose overs used to drive me crazy with this plane to the extent that I sold mine and went back to a Timber X.
Excellent video. You're a good dude. Was looking for something where I could glean whether a gopro would give this plane an issue on 2200 batteries. Won't mount wing end bc gopro weighs a bit more than your camera but you've given me the confidence to run it. Can you share a walk through of your mod to the landing gear? This wire springs look very beneficial
I have not tried this brand, but have tried other acrylics. Don’t waste your time…. Acrylic is way too delicate to use on anything that is going to be touched. I can’t believe how often it is recommended.
I ordered a Team Associated RC10 CC December 27 2023 today is April 19 2024 still nothing and can't get a response from them they still have my card info I just want to cancel the order.
I have mine balanced and flying great with the battery about 3/4 inch pushed back towards the battery tray than your positioning. I am running 3S and 4S 2200 batteries and the planes flies great on both.
Totally agree, I’ve had two planes brand new out of the box where they break servos on a bench test. The Cherokee 1.3 and my maule 1.5 I ended up buying metal gear servos for both before I even flew them. Kind of a bummer on these models 100 bucks in servos before you even fly…? I don’t even bother calling the manufacturer cause I don’t want another crappy servo. Lol
