This manga is so good. For any person, like myself, who was raised by or exposed to a woman with borderline personality disorder (or anything with similar traits), this manga can be therapeutic, in a way. It makes you feel stronger being able to recognize subtle and covert types of (specifically psychological, in this case) abuse. The reason I find this therapeutic is because many of us that were abused in this way were also gaslit and manipulated into believing otherwise. This manga gives us an outside perspective and erases self doubt. Additionally, for people that can't comprehend how damaging such a type of abuse can be, this allows them to experience it for themselves and encourages empathy.
Toei is inconsistent but there's also been characters that have been shown to be black that later showed up whiter than the bottom of my feet. Toei may be just inconsistent but that's still racist
Ok, but literally, Near and Mello sucked. They looked goofy, cartoonish and weird. They pushed the character design too far. Matt looked like a human being. We latched onto that. He was literally the coolest, and one of the most realistic looking guys in the series. Light's design was boring as hell. L was even more boring, and just kinda frog-eyed. They were just some guys. Regular clothes, hair and faces. Misa got a lot of cool outfits but a stupid personality. Big turnoff for cosplayers. Then they offered us these Team Rocket a$$, DBZ lookin, JoJo design inspired, straight outta One-piece ish, chucklefks. Every one else in this world just looks like a person, and these nerds lookin like Digimon villians. What??? Huge let-down. If I had to change anything in the series that would be it. Or I just wouldnt have let that next season happen at all. We had a good end. Leave it at that. Or start with a new kid inheriting the book and the new detectives tryna figure out if and when the perp changed. Idk, man.
I remember watching a video that explained about it. The voice actors said that whoever got into the studio first would direct the recordings for that day
Chrismas is a minor holiday in Japan and mostly a date night for couples. It's possible they're also in order of importance too, though kinda same thing as fun
That kid holding a balloon that turned out to be a ghost is such a menace.......and a cheater. If there are types of ghosts like that then that means she has to be more careful than ever.
The entire first episode talks about turbo granny and it is a very popular folk tale in japan, is not a copy of other anime, if you read de subtitles you wwould notice that
Why do you call yourself a minority (in America) but then talk about Asia/Korea/Japan where you arent a minority. So with "Minority" you just mean you are not white? But globally or in Asia whites would be minorities too.. Words really dont have meanings anymore, do they..
Honestly the dub version is just so much better. In a way, I'd love to see other anime get a similar "official abridged" moments. Uzumaki that came out recently is a great candidate imo. A funny dub can surely not sully the name of Junji Ito more than the anime already did.
You also see it in a lot of more popular games made in those areas (the ones I specifically know more about are Hoyo-verse games and Project Sekai), and also other animes. Asian countries have a wide range of skin tones in their populace but you almost never see that in their media. This same thing happens literally all over the world too, unfortunately.
