By God, if this sounds good, I can already imagine what it would sound like live with his first band, featuring the one and only Willie Johnson on guitar.
It was simple. Just using the logic of the original Elastic song, where the segment after the droning noise begins the final section of all Chaosphere tracks played at the same time. I took the length of that part, including the volume levels, and there you have it. Also I got copyright claims on all of these Meshuggah things even though it's just noise.
""this is so much worthy of praising the person who shared this,..extreme appreciation because that band is tight, in great rhythm-sound excellent,...keep up the good work,...(discographers, and record librarians appreciate this,...I MEAN REALLY THANK YOU ....A+
The man I obtained this from was through his own website. He found this on CD in a library somewhere, borrowed it, burned it/ripped it at home on his PC and uploaded it to his website. I'm just as much as an enthusiast on old music such as this as I was back when I found it on that site. It's been gone for years now. I remember him saying it's taken up too much of his time and energy to maintain and update the website and he couldn't do it anymore. Or threat of legal action, I believe the former though. It does take a lot of time finding rare recordings, uploading them and also writing about them without copy-pasted biographies. I appreciate you finding this and also commenting very much.
Damn, there's just something about The Wolf that makes him sound like the perfect mix between god and devil. The perfect balance between good and evil, joy and sadness, passion and anger. Guess that is just called the Blues. Thanks a lot for sharing 🙏
@@noname10106 The one in this video is the only one we have until Metallica pulls their heads out their ass, which most likely won't happen for this album.
Yes! This is exactly the mastering that I listened to in '96 on a cassette. This mastering is very hard to find right now. Many thanks from Russia. We are getting old, but music is eternal. Do you have a link to the Flaс of this rip?
@@SPNKr16 Thank you. Everything is calm in Russia, it is in Ukraine that there is a war going on, where the United States sponsors local fascist scumbags who unleashed a war there, Russia will deal with them, everything will be fine. Thank you.
Musically, Death Magnetic is a damn good album. The mix is absolute garbage no matter what, though. This sounds better, but it still sounds tinny and thin. The drum sound is atrocious.
Musically okay but I don't listen to it anymore. Besides my September 2008 CD of this album that I purchased personally, I have no other copies. Metallica will never pull their heads out their arses and reissue this in "hi-fi". They invented "distorto-fi" or "brick-fi".
This concert has been released as "Rockin' The Blues: Live In Germany 1964", also as "Live In Europe 1964". Howlin' Wolf gtr, hca, voc; Willie Dixon bass; Clifton James drums; Hubert Sumlin lead gtr; Sunnyland Slim piano.
Thanks man. In this video is the 1991 compact disc. The original owner of the disc found it in a library, borrowed it along with a Muddy Waters live CD, burnt it, and returned the original. Thanks to people like him we can enjoy the unknown and independent releases of old recordings never released on any other format in any point in time.
I wish you’d do this to Far Beyond Driven and Cowboys From Hell. Already got the two albums you have done in my playlists. They’ll get heavy rotation, trust me.
I was going to but before I started any of these enhanced Pantera bass series the only FBD tracks that were available at the time were the ones on my channel already, forgot their names but one of them is 5 Minutes Alone because I had to listen to that one alot before finalising its mix before I uploaded it over here. Nobody understands that mixing/mastering drills certain sounds or complete songs into your head for a very long time. The only way I was able to understand the Trendkill album was by enhancing the bass, though I loved the album for about 9 years prior.
@@SPNKr16 No, I’m sure it takes time. I wasn’t trying to belittle what you do. I respect it. Especially how your able to enhance the bass without taking away from the other instruments. I think your one of the best at what you do. I hope your channel gets more love man
@@1Deep43VA I took no offence, just offering insight since nobody outside audio mastering knows what goes into a finished track. I'd been uploading various types of entertainment, not just music, since '07 and I consider myself retired from uploading anything. I'm no longer interested in doing that and the physical hours put into crafting my ideas is not worth it anymore. I never made a cent, nor was it my intention to make an income with this - was purely a hobby and nothing more. Since 2007 I've made many videos that would be banned/blocked as soon they're uploaded, mainly music related, so I held onto them for my own enjoyment and have lost almost all of them too. My account used to get banned over Metallica, this was before copyright strikes were implemented.
@@SPNKr16 I appreciate the insight. I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t know the hours that went into it. I wish you had been able to make money off of this. I’m not too shocked about Metallica being the band the handing it the most strikes. Just sounds like a Lars thing to do lol. I hope you find peace in whatever venture you decide to take in life.
@@1Deep43VA And I appreciate you. These hobbies, and being a guitar player, has led me to develop a form of arthritis so I simply cannot do as much as I want and had used to do. Trying to live life nowadays and not worry about intricate physical work. Hope you enjoy whatever music you discover out there, adios.
I assumed this version would be available on Apple Music. But they still stream the awful sounding original version. Also it seems this version is no longer available to purchase on iTunes either. Why don’t Metallica just put this out on all the streaming services so people can actually enjoy the album!
No longer available? Sounds like a contract. This is from 2015 and as of today it's still the genuine version/remaster with the best sound, though still sounds like ass overall. Metallica do not care since they long ago demonstrated their greed and preference to insist that they are right, artistically and within their management teams. They'll never own up to it and once the stupid Magnetic "anniversary" rolls around they will barely touch its sound. I long ago let go of this issue and this comment is just a summary of what has happened and should never be repeated again in the industry. After all, 99% of bands listen to their fans. Metallica had long proven they are the 1% who do not.
I will never understand for the life of me why bass on metal and hard rock records are always buried in the mix. Adds so much more colour and feel to the song.
i dont understand how people like this mastered for itunes version, it sounds worse than the original imo (less bass, more treble, basically a "vee" eq)
this is a really important part of the whole project, it's really strange that coppola didn't do much talk about it, neither in interviews or in dvd-blu ray's extras , tkeyhere's at least 3 versions full of off scenes and documentaries ... well done mickey, great job
No kidding, I’ve watched and read all I could when I first discovered this movie in the 80’s, then poured over all the DVD and Blu-Ray extras and don’t recall seeing this recording mentioned. Jump ahead to 2022, and someone pops up on Antiques Roadshow with the painting used for the album cover.
