New channel! BUT... Not new to Sterile Processing or RU-vid! I decided to make a separate channel to share my SPD knowledge and help fellow Sterile Techs get certified! Subscribe for useful videos and giveaways! (especially now when the channel is small!)
Hey, course is closed. HSPA is currently doing a blackout for CRCST testing in preparation for creating the new exam in September. Check back later, thanks.
Hey do you think I’ll still benefit from buying your course to study with being that you’re still going over all areas of the test ? I’m only asking because I know about the pilot test etc
Good question, I wouldn't as its tailored to the CRCST exam. Howeverr, I just passed the CSPDT exam im the last testing periods! I'm buttoning up the study guide for it as we speak! So stay tuned from that😊
Im not sure they didn’t specify if they closed applications so I’d send my application in about a month before the first testing date to allow time for processing
Hi! I'm planning to take the exam soon, but I was wondering if your Ultimate HSPA CRCST Exam Prep is for the 8th edition or 9th edition? I'm just curious? Thanks :D
Hey Kat, so its based on the 9th edition book. The pilot exam is brand new and only going to be around for 2 weeks, so far I've been getting good feedback that it's relevant to the pilot exam! This is because of the essential chapter notes that are included that touch on topics that are in the official study guideline HSPA puts out. Hope that helps and good luck!
@@ThatSterileTech thank you so much! I think I’ll definitely check it out. I originally learned for the 8th edition so I’ve been stressing out a little on the change. But I think it’ll be ok! I’m a little confused about the outline on the HSPA website because I’ve found two different outlines, so I didn’t know which on to actually rely on. Thanks again 😎
Hi! I will be taking the pilot exam for the 9th edition next week. I am interested in purchasing your study guide for the practice questions. Will that help me even if I am taking the pilot exam?
Hi, great question! So I just had someone take the pilot exam and they told me yesterday my study guide helped them a lot! They mentioned the questions were essentially worded differently but in essence the same. Plus don't forget, the study guide also comes with chapters notes from the 9th edition book that cover whats on the study guideline for the exam; they reported that was invaluable to them. So in summary yes its relevant and will help:)
Hey, sorry to hear you're having issues with your account. It can log you out from time to time, just re-login. If you’re unable, do forgot password. If all else fails email me (same email address you got the welcoming email from).
Good question, as of now there's blackout so 42 days should be enough to get you through the pilot exam test period if youre scheduled for it. I will be updating the study guide for the new September exam aswell, so if you're going to be testing then you should hold off purchasing. Lastly, 6 weeks/42 days shouls be plenty of time to study the material many times over - if all else fails email me well work something out👍
Do you have a link to the real test to get this specific certificate? Like a link for if we wanted to do the test right now? Also even though it says it is a crcst certificate. Will it count for being a Central Sterile Processing Technician?
The pilot and the new exam moving forward will be both based on the info in the 9th edition book. The revised study guideline is in the description. Lastly, the pinned comment will take you the sales page for my study guide which includes key chapter notes and multiple-choice practice questions. Hope that helps.
I mean once you paid for the exam you're in. If you are going the 400-hour experience route it depends on how fast your supervisor can confirm your eligibility. Lastly, the study guide was tailored made to the previouse exam since no one has seen the pilot exam yet. However, the chapter notes were pulled from the 9th edition book which is HSPA’s recommended study reference for their exams. I would recommend studying with as much resources available to you, happy studying and good luck!
I purchased your study guide and I passed today!! I also had the 8th edition book, and purchased notecards from The Sterile Guy. The test I took focused a lot on BI, CI, washers. I also have a friend who used to teach the course so I was very grateful for all the resources I had. It’s not an easy test, but if you prepare and study you will pass.
Hi Kristina, I believe I answered this question before. Essentially, I believe so, and here's why: 1. I had a handful of questions about eto sterilization which has been banned in California since 2006 2. So many people had amazing results and It's highly unlikely they're all from California. Lastly, even if the questions are different the notes are derived from the exam content outline ensuring you have a well-rounded understanding of topics you're being tested on to where it doesn't matter how they ask something you’ll know the correct answer, hope that helps!☺️
Hi, I'm not entirely sure, however it doesn't really matter since my prep includes notes that cover the nuts and bolts of essential topics that way you get a well-rounded grasp of a concept to where it doesn't matter which way you get questioned because you know the fundamentals. This is why I don't recommend studying with just practice questions, as there's over a dozen ways to get questioned on a single topic. But, hey I'm interested in your experience testing in Canada! let me know how it goes in direct message me in the course!
@@ThatSterileTech yes I will let you know tom is my day of examination I will update you. But those questions and answer really help me to review some other info in this field.
@@ThatSterileTech I paid it last week and I started the guide but I didn’t finish doing it and when I tried logging back in it said my email was invalid and what’s your email
Okay, no worries, I'll take care of this from the back end! I can't put my email here because of spam, but just reply to the email you got when you signed up. And we’ll continue the convo there!
This is a blessing, I remember watching your old videos which were about entry level hospital jobs. I applied and got in. Now I’m interested in processing tech. I will take the new version. And I will self study. I can’t wait for more videos especially which states pay more.
