Wow! Being eaten alive like that. Those owlets felt everything, as they received a slow and painful death. I know raccoons are wild animals, but when it comes to baby birds, they are more vicious than I thought. 🦝🔪🩸
I watched the racoon kill the babies and it made me sick. I thought the mother would have sat there for a moment to morn her loss, but she almost instantly started eating the remains. Mother nature is so cruel. I guess I can see why humans are so mean to each other.
...and the humans that find injured animals on roads or in other places will take then to vets or wildlife santcuaries, they will spend time and resources nursing them to health, give the animals a taste of literal heaven of never having to sleep with one eye open or wonder when death is coming through that nest entrance. ...They then take them back to that open field and 'return them to the wild'...all the while thinking that they are returning these creatures to an enchanted fairy forest or their mental version of the hundred acre wood. Let that sink in for a moment.

I mean, here in the south they’re overpopulated, and if natural predators can’t kill then, then humans will in order to protect other species from extinction.
