The tail lights are operating backwards. The brake lights are stuck on as the running lights. And as you applied both the front and rear brake switch, the brake-light turned off on all 3 lights, leaving just the running lights remaining lit on them 1157 bulbs.. Triple-play module fun or just a mis-wire with the brake/running lights.
For those wimps that just dump your crap here 'cause you can't own one, take a look at that! 120 mph and it doesn't even touch the rev limiter! that there is the power of a triple displacement Harley motor punks!......sounds bad ass! just as it should! open pipe? no baffle? beautiful beast!
The 4 Leaf Clover didnt give em any luck...lol I have the exact machine but not this one, Same paint, same year, only diff is Vance and Hines pipes. I am 65, 5'9" 185 lbs and I can handle this cycle with ease.
I own a 2007 Venture, good bikes, very reliable. I also own a 2007 Yamaha Royal Star tour deluxe, they share the same powertrain and reliability. Mine has 95k on it currently and I live in the DC area. I've rode it as far south as Florida and as far north as New York and west as to Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. I have the same pipes on both my bikes, They're from a company called Sharkroad. The bike sounds like a V8 supercar when you lay into it. People love it, I always get compliments on how it sounds.
The VN800 is not meant to chug idle low like a HD. That's why it died. It should be 1100rpm. Also these motors have the torque and HP from 3000-8000 redline and have a rev limiter. You are short shifting it mad. They love to be wound out and are quite fast for a cruiser when jetted and piped. Rode more than 100K miles on em. Bulletproof.
They don't really "go" for that much more. It's just a matter of owners asking fantasy prices that never actually materialize - not even close - so the scoots just sit and sit and sit until the owner fiiiinally gets educated and cut them loose for a reasonable amount. Been there, done that. Don't give up the search. Keep researching, monitoring the market on all platforms until you find the flavor that suits you.
