Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am lanon, a total war fanatic, for over a decade. I am a 27 year old nurse with a full-time job at a hospital, and a husband and gamer on the side. This channel will be focussed on mostly modded gameplay videos and stream of different total war games.
If you enjoy funny and personal commentary during streams (and some failures) this channel might be the channel you have been looking for, so hit subscribe and find out ;)
Hey Lanon, I'm more of a Med 2 and Rome 1 loyalist. I'm also a campaign enthusiast. Currently looking for campaign mods and overhaul mods of the vanilla or a similar setting but of different time/date. I also am considering quality of life mods like the ones that fixes names of characters/empires, diplomatic relations, confederation assistance, factions, faction leader reskins, family reskins, graphics, economy, buildings... I would like it if you give me suggestions on what to subscribe, GC overhaul is of great priority.
phew, that is alot my friend. for atilla overhauls i always recommend radious and 1212 AD, there is a ton of sub-mods you can use aswell, so that will have you sorted for the long run. on rome 1 also radious is a good start but there are probably alot more that i dont know of. for medieval 2 overhaul the best one i can think of is the lord of the rings overhaul wich is dated but still awesome to play. on the smaller mods and qol mods i dont have to much knowledge on these older games. hope this helps you out at least a bit :)
yeah i get that aswell, i usually take a look on witch province earns the most money and try to oprtimize that one first. and dont really bother with the lowest provinces ;)
Hi, would had loved it if you explained a bit about the units and bonuses of each faction as well as expanded on starting position and possible strategy. Rhodes kind of looked as an unique faction and I have no clue why you did not use it. You could do this in another video. People get attached to units or bonuses and that plays a big part of our enjoyment while we watch the videos.
Hi, thank you for this insight, you make a very valid point. i usually try to keep the intro short so there is more time in-game, but you are right, it would give more inmersion if the first part is explained more. thanks, i will defintily take this into consideration for the next series i record :)
@@lanontotalwar you have to think about increasing viewer count. New viewers like me want to see details. Most viewers eat while watching a gameplay. Also, while in battle do slight commentary on those units, how they did. One flank is almost breaking. The other one is ok, weaker units flee before Spartan hoplites. All those details make for great mini stories. There are 100's of people placing gameplays and 0 views. Cheers!
@@reinjonkers3088 the answer to that is pretty simple luckily The ardiaei are part of an culture pack that needs to be bought for the main game And if the faction is locked in the main game, its also in the modpack Same goes for the fractions that are locked behind the dlc and sub campaigns Hope this helps you :)
Build a navy. Navies are very strong when ramming against transport ships (army). You will also get tons of money by ransoming after the naval battle win. Very useful since you wont need to keep an army near athens as a small navy will do.
Hey Man just found your channel yesterday through shorts and I love your videos I don't have a pc and no one does campaignes anymore so am glad I found your channel. I got a couple tips to make the battles More intresting 1:try to get More cinnematic shots like when your cav charges get a close up on it with no hud.before you start a battle get a close up on your units.when your soliders are fighting zoom in on the fight with no hud same with the archers when they do a volley follow the arrows Till it hits the enemey with no hud. Tip 2: increasing the difficulty I feel like it makes the game More intresting and intense. Other Than that it would be cool to see a Attila playthrough on the huns beating the Romans❤
hey man, glad you found the channel, i hope you enjoy your stay here ;) thanks for the feedback for the difficulty i will look in to it, but i do like to get the campaign rolling a little faster so content doesnot slow down as much - and i will see if i can get some more cinematic shots in it :)
@@mrantmr6782 thanks , love to hear it :) And thanks, my family and myself are indeed priority, but i also want to deliver good content and grow the channel ;) So finding a balance is still quite challenging but we will see if we can make this new schedule work :)
OOH that is a tough question, for now i think para bellum, but that is also because i played it more, but i do like the extra artwork that para bellum puts in on the campaign map :)
@@svetozargavric957 this particular video the para bellum mod collection But in other videos i also tend to play with other mods like Dei 1100AD 1177 AD Radious And even more :)
Hey, just a question, how long would it take for a beginner to learn the basics of the game total war rome II? Since I never played the game but it looks very interesting when I see gameplay such as yours.
@@razerti1459 i would recommend you start with Rome on normal difficulty Since Rome is pretty strong and versatile The basics you could get down in a couple hours since the core gameplay is not that hard Once you start playing more you just get better at pacing your Amy and economy So overall a few hours could get you a good understanding of the game :) Enjoy :)
it is great, you should try it, there should be around 35/37 playable factions, although there are a few locked behind culture packs and dlc, so beware of that ;)
hey, welcome to the channel :) right now the episodes will come out once a week i think, i try to rotate series so there is always something to watch : ) these are recordings, i might try to stream a dei sub campaing very soon :)
I believe 1 or 2 are set and the third is character based so to change all of them yes civil war would be the only way But you can try to assasinate the party leader in order to change 1 of the traits
In vanilla and most modded campaigns When you select your army in the left bottom there should be a button wich you can hover over Here is also the option for forced march ( more movement) And ambush ( where your army is hidden)
Loving the campaign. Imo subjigating for now would actually be better xD.Now there will be crusades launched against you soon. And That province is hard to manage: it usually gets hit with extreme drought in summer so it takes a while for public order to settle
@@lanontotalwar listen it's a misunderstanding my little 7 year old sister was using my phone an hour ago so probably she commented so I am sorry if she offended you she is just little so sorry and I hope you accept my apology
This is most moronic game in the history of Total War. I'm forcing myself to it but the campaign is just so fckn garbage it's impossible. I've enjoyed every single Total War but this sht is just unbereable. It's so fckn bad I cannot even comprehend how they fckn did any game ever after that one. I cannot fckn fathom how Attila is so good but this sht is so fckn garbage it's just crazy how fckn boring that campaign is. OMG i"m baffled I cannot believe this sht exists.
@@lanontotalwarLots off history channel do that allready. Just talk about it while you're gaming. It's more interesting for your audience. We/they're here for Rome 2 gameplay and give some history with it is great. I like this campaign (I mean playing myself) but only as Palmyra because off the diversityin armies. Still Marius vs Sulla in Para Bellum is still my favourite. I hope they make a Pompey against Caesar one too. (I like mid to late republican era the most) good thing there are lots of campaigns (if you own all campaign dlc). Anyway keep up the good work.
I am loving this mod so much, turned into my favourite campaign run I've had. I have nowhere near as much experience in all the different games as you, but this is probably my favourite total war experience. Crazy that it is so old but looks as good as it does. Hats off to whoever is behind it.
experience does not matter friend, as long as you have fun, para bellum is so diverse that it does give you one hell of an experience :) so have fun and build up your experience to keep getting better ;)
The hell are these Tzeentch eyes. Take those out, that's unfair playing. You can't fool me. Oh man people are being brutal in the comments. I meant because they are so crazy blue. Just because life ain't going your way doesn't mean you gotta attack others for things they had 0 choice in and just pushing through life like the rest of us trying to make do with the hand we are dealt and improve it.
Eyo how you doing I might try one of the sub campaigns from dei The last series i did, did not perform wel on the channel so i benched it, but i am always trying new stuf So yeah, it is on my to do list :)
Para Bellum is a very good mod indeed. DEI is overrated. My favorite is Wars of the Gods-Ancient Wars cause you can create your own game style play with it cause it has 50 submods!!! No other overhaul mod is like it.
Its actually pretty decent Boarding other ships can be a bit clunky, ramming works pretty fine But the most fun part is Manually firing balista ships 2 hits to kill a transport boat and 3/4 for a naval ship That stuf is fun as hell to sink 15 transport boats with 3 balista ships :)
