If Chhom Nicole were around in the 60’s, she’d have been up there with Ros Sereysothea and Pen Ran!! Even better that she is alive today so I can hear her beautiful voice live 😊
Really excited to see this!!!!! When I saw the drakkar poster I was so happy. It’s fascinating because of the setting in which this scene was born, died and became reborn (although it’s rebirth is extremely controversial)

I lost it when the lady said she told them she was a banana seller.. you can see her pain and how much sadness this brings her everyday. I can’t wait to see this documentary. Such beautiful music I came to love so much and it makes me sad that this had to happen.. but their legacy and music will always be a reminder of them and that makes me happy to know they are still alive through their music.
You can try one thing, check the playlist "A little selection of pre 1975 cambodian songs" on my channel, in the description is included a link for this doc (you'll have to make copy paste of it).
As the pop culture flourish in Phnom Penh, the people are enjoying so much that they forget and ignore the threat of massive corruption and communist in the jungle gaining more support from the exiled king.
