A little bit of everything in the world of late 80s to mid 90s Fords. I might also do some IRL at work videos to pass the time. Just trying to catalog my daily experiences with cars, work and all that. Feel free to subscribe, leave a comment or like my videos, I really appreciate it. Definitely more to come in the future and I hope my adventures keep you entertained!
I'm having the same issue. I took it into the mechanics and he replaced the actuator and it worked for 1 minute or 2 and then stopped. He changed the middle one. I have no idea what to do now. I hope this works for me lol. My main issue is my engine light came on and it was the cam shift positioning sensor I had it changed with a Ford positioning sensor and the light came back on. Still says cam sharft positioning sensor. I tool it to ford amd they came at me woth a 9k bill saying it was a dozen issues but when I run the code the only code that pops up is the positioning sensor. I got a couple 2md opinions, one from a retired man who ran one of ford's bays for 15 years. He said that what Ford is saying needs to be fixed isn't the issue because if everything they are saying was wrong with my SHO the car wouldn't perform like it does. You would feel it. My car take off on a dime amd runs perfectly. I honestly don't know what to do. My inspection is due in March. If I don't figure it out by then I'm gonna have to get rid of my SHO and I really don't want to. I feel it's a wiring issue but have no idea who to bring it to. If you can't tell I have no idea about cars. Has anyone gone through this or have any ideas what it could be? Please anyone? I could really use some help.
I discovered this by kind of mistake but I wanted to test it and it worked. If you get the Slick Tires (most expensive) and then max out it's size in everything, and do the same for any of the $180 rims, combine them, balance them. Put those on a car and it increases the profit double what you paid for the tire and rims combined. Really insanely good way of making profit on cars you're selling. If you're not selling, then don't do it because that combo looks terrible on any car lol
The ride is about the same honestly. I wanted to get a solid axle but didn't really find anything so I'm going to just put an actual lift on it. The tires are very unevenly worn now. The couple of places I took it couldn't get it aligned.
I had a 95 5 speed. Bought from a Ford Dealer in Huntington Beach California. Had to wait three days to even test drive it because the clutch was out and they were replacing it. I bought it without driving it. I knew it would be sold before I could get back. Loved that car. Had a Calif personalized plate of GEN2SHO.
I had a friend who lived out in Huntington Beach and worked at the SHO Shop (not really sure if they are around anymore). Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Really appreciate it!
FYI, there are 4 total. One passenger, one driver footwell, one driver halfway up and one in the dash (which is next to impossible to reach without taking dash apart). I believe that one is different. That is the one on mine that died. The quoted $240 to fix with me buying the part and they said it was terrible to replace, as well. I found a thread somewhere that gave the exact part for each location. I will look for it.
OH WAIT. My fault, you were referencing something else. I'm happy you pointed that out to me. You watched up to that point and then decided you needed to correct me. You sir are a true saint, we need more people like you. I'll tell everyone I know that you know the difference between an automatic and a manual transmission!
I rapped on it and then unplugged and plugged it back in and the problem was solved. I was able to cycle through all of the vent settings successfully!
It worked for me(2015 taurus). Thank you very much for sharing this information. Took about 15 moderate taps with a large plastic fuse puller(electrician), but it worked...thanks again...
This freaken worked! I cannot believe all I could find was to tear apart the entire dash before trying, "Knock 5 times, aaaand the door will open." (Yes, mine started working on the fifth tap as well.) Great job, brother!
Thanks for the comment and I'm glad it worked for you! Tearing apart the dash is definitely the permanent solution, but I really didn't have the time or money to do that when mine was acting up, so I was happy to pass this little "fix" along to other people in hopes it would save them some time and money, atleast for a while. Appreciate you stopping by!
Happy Thanksgiving! I saw this game on the Xbox Black Friday sale. However, I was hoping for House Flipper Simulator on sale. Haha! Any car game that has the Delorean in it is A+ in my book. Let alone user mods that include the Doc Brown time machine chassis. I think Forza Horizon 5 has the Delorean in it. I have yet to play that one. If you've got Game Pass for PC, you should check that one out.
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving! I've definitely been tossing around the idea of playing some Horizon just haven't made a decision on it yet. It sounds like its a pretty good game.
Ah, yes ... like the setup. I'm pretty much the same as you, except - on a black 2016 - I've got a resonator delete (straight-pipe) and a Flowmaster 40 series Race Muffler. As well as the K&N cold air intake & drop-in air filter, of course. Not to mention H&R Springs, lowering it about an inch-and-a-half, front and rear. Anyway, running about 415 and 398 at the crank. Not too bad. Heck, just passed 33,000 miles! I also run it with the traction control off (more rear wheel engagement; effectively 4WD), and with the H&Rs? Literally no torque-steer, no squat, no dive. I do believe that both vehicles we have are a steal, my friend. I'm out... take care, my SHO brother.
Well, thank you and you have a LIKE and new SUB. Listen, if you get water on your passenger floor then driver floor, it's coming from the water drains in the cowl under the hood. You need to remove wipers, then BOTH plastic across and look for these little FORD ONLY water drains that fill with leaves get blocked and leak back into car. Then you cabin filter will be shot so change it and hope the A/C works. Thought I would share like U did!
Good to see you again! You’ve just got to keep it up, and you will carve a niche out for yourself in no time. Mandy and I watch all kinds of stuff on RU-vid these days. Just tell some stories and roll with it! I’m not on FB anymore, but if you’re on Discord or somewhere else, I’d love to catch up. Take care, bro.
Great to hear from you! Hope everything is going good with you and the family. I'm putting together some ideas on things I'd like to record so once its not so hot out ill start back up with it again. I know a few people who have distanced themselves from FB so I totally understand that move. I don't really understand how discord works but I do have it lol. We should definitely figure out something, I'm all for catching up and hearing about what you're up to these days.
i have a 95, i got some 33" tires i wanna put on it, but i wanna get a lift kit first, thinking of a 4" lift, but its good to see this video to see how it would look with out a lift
Man, I don't know how to send you a picture though here, I put a 4in rough country lift on my 93 f150 with some 33 in tires and it gave me the exact look I want and no clearance issues. This looks nice but the lift really makes it pop
@@jaredherrera8664 I like to put 33s on my 96 f150 4.9 I6, what mileage are you getting with 33s and did you lose any performance due to tires being heavier then stock size?
@@Arizonahwy10 before the tires I was getting around 14 give or take and with tires, around 12, you lose a little performance but nothing really noticeable. I'm actually in the process of throwing a 408 stroker in the truck. 4.9l is a good motor but if you want power. There not the way to go, but when the motor was in the truck it was fine. Definitely worth the bigger tires and lift
@@jaredherrera8664 awesome thanks for the info, I already have a 4" lift installed and it will definitely look good sitting on 33s, I think the 4.9 and ZF5 combo will do just fine
I have the exact same truck but mine is a 95. Has factory HD rear springs. I'm adding coilover shocks in the rear. Just want to level the front. Looked at the F250 Moog cc844 2wd front spring option for $90. 1.5" leveling blocks are $60. Just kind of leary of the bottom bolt extension. Don't mind losing a little ride quality. Would like to go a little taller than the stock 245 /75 r15 tires. What are your thoughts?
Lifting and leveling, I'm finding out, can be more involved than it seems. I definitely dont love how my spacers are sitting so I'll probably go back and redo them in the future. As for tires I had something like a 31x11s on the truck when I got it, (which I think is like a 265/75r15) got more height over stock, they rode well and I didnt have any rubbing issues or anything so you might be good with something like that if you want to go a little taller with the tires.
