A sensible discussion on a non sensible subject? I'm 52 and grew up listening to punk along with my parents 70's war protest BS. This guy's ending statement is why at 52 I say FUCK OFF!!!!
And even then the media pushed an agenda. Notice how she kind of ridiculed Civ at the beginning and tried to push the violence at the shows? That father came off as a wimp. I get his concerns (I'm a father myself) but really??? Civ is the man and did a great job being cool and open with his answers. I think the biggest thing is that they simply didn't believe him when it said it wasn't as bad as it was being made out to be. I just recently saw Sick of it All in Philly at the Underground Arts facility with La Armada opening up (can't remember the mid-show band) and there was a lot of people in a small area moshing and I didn't see one person get hurt except maybe a bruise or bump. Maybe if these idiots actually went to a show they'd see what it was all about.
I was part of of it in the mid 90’s, and unfortunately the crowd I was with were drinking and using heavily. Only later on in years did I hear about Straight edge Hardcore, when I began hanging out with the Hare Krishnas. Peace and blessings to all. 🕉☯️🙏
@Roberto Munoz Here in Detroit only one and a half "kids" are sXe into their 30s & 40s. I don't care one iota, as long as their still hardcore & still annoying to the system.
damn i feel for civ in this interview, those fucking people just dont get it, and thats exactly why gb does what they do, because some people just dont fucking get it
Wow, I remember being there!! I was hanging on stage with one of the camera guys. He said it was worse then being in Beruit!! Ha!! That was a cool show. Civ was awesome and let me get some pics. Wish I still had them, but the memories are still there :)
LOL they don't have SATAN worshiping to complain about anymore so they gotta harp on how kids might get a couple bruises. GTFOHWTBS. Sensational ratings whores...
