Adam who I met today obviously had a very difficult start in life. But his decision to get his life back on track brought him down a path where he perfectly belongs at helping out and promoting the Ottawa Mission. He’s an intelligent articulate communicator and very inspiring which is a hell of a good combo. He has a fantastic attitude toward life and the world needs many many more people like him. And his display of emotions is very genuine and admirable. It shows me he means what he says and not just mouthing some words.
I,m widow 57 from the philippines..im praying to became a religious volunteer like in kitchen or cleaning.i finish high school only..all my children's living in Germany .
Yooo why do these homeless people have better access to dental care than any place in Nunavut!!!!!!!!!! Plus staying in the hotel across from the mission is wild, watch so many drug deal go down, to even a man helping a guy sober up, as staff went to call for an ambulance! Your place is a joke and is only enabling them and not helping them as much as you think you are! Plus if you spent that much on cameras use them, some guy on a balcony shouldn’t be seeing more then you can! Fuck your mission!
We thank you for taking care of all those in need. It is the least we can do to help you cover the cost of all those great services you offer. Keep up the fantasrtic work you are all doing.
Beautiful video showing the love that embraces those that spend their last days at the hospice. Lovely tribute to Diane Morrison as well. The hospice is a testimony to the vision she had for this sacred place.
Beautiful, I was unaware that the Mission had a hospice. My husband died at the Ruddy Shenkman hospice in 2019 and the care and compassion was amazing. Very happy that my monthly donations is distributed in all areas of the Mission. ❤
It was wonderful to see you and to hear your words of thanks Peter, and, to include the Mission accomplishments 2022. Keep up the good work. It's a mission of love and compassion. I wish a happy, safe and healthy new year to you, your staff, your volunteers and all your clients. Gisele Reinboldt
We are more than happy to help the Mission. It is the least we can do to help them help those in need. Their accomplishments is the greatest Christmas gift one can get. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Genuine, compassionate and beautiful paintings with real interest in models and present human experience. Master in detail and color. My admiration and gratitude!
This is a moving, magnificent, & remarkable show. I’m sending my congratulations to the wondrous and gifted artist, Karen Bailey, and to the entire Ottawa Mission staff. What a beautiful, timely, poignant, & needed show. Bailey’s art and this show will be a testament to what the Mission does, to how we see our histories, and what we can all do, as Ottawans and members of this community, to give back to those in need. As a PhD student in art history at Carleton, and an Ottawa girl born & bred, I thank you all for this from the bottom of my heart. 🙏🍂💞💗❤️
Amazing! What courage...what love...what fortitude!! We can all learn so much from this man and his story...Watching this (I only got time now--3 months later--to watch it) I'm so glad I did; it's inspiring!!
i lived at the Mission and most of the stall were great but some made me feel worst about myself also i think that before the get a job there should spend a week there sleeping there and eating there to see what its like
Not safe space for employees part of LGBTTQ I was working there and I faced sexually harrasment and physical assaulted. Still waiting to see what's gonna happen with their investigation before I present charges.
