I'm a mature age gamer that loves most genres of game and with a degree in game development I like to first look as many as I can. My channel consists of Series gameplay (mini and longer) as well as a lot of first looks. I hope to highlight games for my viewers to give them the ability to make informed decisions on what games they would enjoy before they commit to purchasing. I'm honest in my gameplay and like to share thoughts on what changes could be made to improve a game as well as discuss the positive aspects of everything I play. Many of the game I highlight on the channel I also like to stream more in depth over on Twitch (and the occassional RU-vid stream). This is a family friendly channel and is welcoming to all. Come join me, say hi in the comments and suggest games you may like to see me play.

just watched your whole series in the last few days. Saw your first built and thought out of ore has changed a lot, indeed, it has. So you brought me back to this game. Some things I have noticed in my 13h in the game -XP flow stops for running productions when you reload the game -you can use right click to instantly put products in queue (after you pulled up the slider) -by pressing ctrl and left click on a product it instantly swaps the inventory -productions pull the needed resources directly from your inventory but now i have a question, how do you level up so fast? I'm swimming in money but the XP coming in so slow (productions running and building underground pipes by hand) keep up your content, I love it
Thanks for watching and commenting. Level up wise I'm not sure to be honest. I've done a lot of hand digging which seems to help but I can't guarantee that. I've only just started the whole ctrl right click thing. I definitely use the right click though. My levelling has started to slow down a lot now. Trying to get to 45 so I can get bigger equipment. Hope you keep enjoying my series as it's going to be a long one!
This game scratched an itch. Even my boy is enthralled with it. It’s slow moving, but man, once you get past the intuitive learning curve, man, is this game satisfying. Now, where it shines? With a solid group of friends. 10/10 recommend Out of Ore.
Wow, that's quite the impressive conveyor system. Not obsessive compulsive at all! Just kept going and before you knew it... 👍🎯 - That's going to make excavating that lower area so much easier. Now, let's see how big of a cavern one can dig before the whole mountain caves in! - Odd some of the ceilings just won't dig by machine. It seemed to be the parts directly over concrete floors instead of dirt - might be the issue. - And yes, the little hopper ramp needs to go... - I put hoppers in series as I went further away from the sorting equipment. You can connect to both ends of the hoppers. And I placed the hoppers deeper so that the canted concrete (hopper) walls finished low, that way the connecting conveyors were all below grade level and covered over, only seeing the upper half of the concrete hopper walls stick out of the ground. Good show!
You mentioned you might sell concrete. I did a quick assessment and the corner pieces you lined your hopper with seem to have a good materials vs. price return. I don't know if it's the best return but it's pretty good. I was a little disappointed that apparently you can't fuel the fuel truck with fuel you've made. Unless I was doing it wrong, but I couldn't find a way to put the fuel I'd made into the fuel truck.
A late happy birthday 🎂 If you plan on digging until you reach bedrock you're in for a long long haul. I've seen another streamer blow a hole so deep there was no daylight left at the bottom and it took the drone a very long time to reach the top of the hole 😉
Really enjoying, i've been buying the better quality replacements parts for vehicles, they last longer i think. I have found the grader works really well
Thank you. I'm looking forward to trying out the grader. That was the first part I've had to replace but there's a lot more that are on their way out. I didn't realise there was different quality levels for parts!
I think for those low hanging ceiling pieces you need the teeth of the bucket to "cut" them. If the bucket won't go up high enough it seems taking a full bucket of dirt and then scrapping the dirt in the bucket on them also knocks them loose....I think. I assume you know; The reason the dirt piled up in the hopper was because you dumped some behind it then when you dumped more it hit that protruding dirt before it went in the hopper so "grew" the pile out. A few ramped concrete on the back should prevent that. Yeah, I'm commenting as I watch and you knew all this...
Great video as always! Ive been glued to the new maps on the new beta. They are awesome! Also not sure if you were aware but you dont have to use hoppers. I just use conveyors instead. They seem to work a little better, plus you can drive over them.
I wasn't sure whether you could use just conveyors. Thank you for clearing that up for me. I might check out the new maps in the lastest Beta as they do seem to be getting a good rap. Thanks Jay.
You can see how I've been building them in the previous videos. There's x4 different slope blcks I've been using to get the shallower grade. It's a bit confusing at the start but once you get used to it it works really well.
If you start with your regular block, as Semi mentioned, there are 4 different sloped blocks. They are all the same slope, just used to connect to each other to basically transition one block down in height over the 4 block span. The "trick" is you have to start with the correct block of the 4 when trying to attach it to the regular block. In essence, start with the biggest of the 4 and rotate it such that it will snap to the regular block, then you connect the next three gradually getting smaller.
I know this is recorded in advance but i hope that you create a place that is large enough to turn the loader inside the mine and for the hopper. We all have those ingame reflexes like you're leaning to the right while driving backwards, you should watch me leaning when i round a corner ingame 🤣
Great stuff semi! Don't know if you are challenged for materials but I use concrete floors instead of blocks for the floors as they are much cheaper to build. It's probably kind of cheating but I use them to keep my floors level. Placing floors so the loader can't dig down too far then removing them behind me as I go (the ceiling grids will also work for this). I also learned, I think, that the quickest way to level is hand mining. Maybe, maybe not, but I had to put in a road and suck with the dozer and grader so did it by hand. It was a lot of digging so maybe it was just the time but it seemed that I leveled quite a bit faster.
Thanks Mark. Concrete floors would be much more economical. I leave them in because they prevent any dirt that falls out of the bucket from piling up and making the ground uneven. It does seem as though leveling by hand works better but I definitelt want to persist with the machinery for funs sake I think.
Hi mate I'm not sure. The card seems just out of spec for the minimum requirements. Below is what they suggest as minimum to play the game; OS *: Windows 7 64-Bit or Windows 10 64-Bit Processor: Intel Core i5-14400 or AMD Ryzen 7500F Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970, GTX 1660 or Radeon R9 390, AMD RX 580 DirectX: Version 12 Storage: 17 GB available space Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
That intended big open area down in the mine - maybe dig it out then ramp down another layer and dig it out again, making an open area twice the height (twice the gold) without needing larger equipment to reach that far up. I used that technique in Minecraft. Remember you can attach a 90 to the end of your original hopper if you want to route the conveyors underground and cover them. The original hopper will connect just like a piece of conveyor in series without disturbing it. Good show!
Good stuff Simi. I assume you know this but when buying stuff, like when you were buying lights, you can change the 1 to a 6, or however many you want, then hit enter. It will give you the total price. With as much money as you had and how quick it is to hit the buy button six times you likely just did it that way for convenience. Agree on the equipment lights. I don't use them because they just wash out the piece of equipment and area right around me offering little lighting away from the vehicle.
Thank you so much I am loving recording them. I shall keep them coming (up to episode 11 so far). Thanks for watching and taking the time to write such a lovely comment.
I really enjoyed this video/game. It is indepth and realistic enough that it keeps you thinking. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. This will definitely have to go into my channel's lineup next year. I hope you do, too. Oh, BTW, I'm housesitting (chicken sitting) this week and only get to watch on a TV so won't be leaving many comments for a while... Good show!
Also found that if you use the trunks of 'young' trees (not small trees) as posts you can make taller buildings that the smoker can fit under. A fire not under a roof goes out in the rain. Have fun!
Just discovered you don't have to put materials in the workbenches, just have to have them in your inventory. I don't know about smelters but if you have, for example, steel in your inventory and queue the machine to make plates it will pull the necessary steel from your inventory.
If you right click on the items when you are going to craft, it auto moves it so you dont have to drag the items all the time, i learnt it a few days ago😁 Keep it up!
I found a tip on the GPS online. If you want a GPS indicator for you bucket to be flat put the loader on a flat surface, set the bucket flat, open your inventory (this frees up your mouse). Then mouse click the "set zero" in the GPS window. This sets indicators in the GPS window so you can return the bucket to flat more easily.
I wonder if the ripper on the back of the dozer will break up rock. Haven't tried it myself yet. Side note: I had to look up squiz. Never heard that before. Figured it out from the context but looked it up to verify. :) Great content Semi.
Muchhhh better!! I enjoy this game but have no desire to play…. so I’ll watch you and be a backseat driver 😂 I am excited to see what your map turns into!
