La mejor Soprano ligera que hubo y sin arreglos de Tecnología, como hoy día que son inventados. ...Como Sarah Brigthman que es falsa!!sino vean el ensayo de Running! !
THIS IS SINGING AS IT SHOULD BE, NON-EXISTENT IN THE WORLD OF OPERA TODAY BECAUSE OF ACOUSTICALLY COMPROMISED IMPRESSARIOS AND STAGE DIRECTORS, THE LATTER SELECTING SINGERS BY THEIR 'LOOKS.' WHERE WOULD CARUSO, TETRAZZINI AND FLAGSTAD BE TODAY IF THIS WERE SO IN THE GOLDEN ERA?,
I have always found Fleming sentimentally indulgent to the point of distraction from the music and its gifts. I do not enjoy her, or the feeling that she brings. I do admire very much the recording by Moffo. This performance by Pons is lovely, and very true to the instrument she was given. It seems to me that too many singers today try to darken and change their voice to sound like an idea of "classical" instead of sounding like the most beautiful version possible of what they were born with.
Fantastic terracite. You must have a great collection of music.Keep them coming. By the way did anyone notice she sang this with NO MICROPHONE.I would like to see todays ''artistes' try this they would fallflat on their faces.(the last word i had to change for decency reasons.
STUPENDO VIDEO E STUPENDA ESECUZIONE, ..BELLA VOCE, ... ..MA PERCHè LA VITA CI TOGLIE VIA VIA IL GUSTO DI VIVERE ? ..VEDENDO ANDARSENE TANTE BELLE PERSONE NEL POCO CHE DI LORO RESTA.. ..
She sings on "ah" and not "oo". That's one reason why she sings it better than anyone else. The song is pure melody, and should be sung as such; not over-sensualized and careless as some have sung it. She shows perfect breath control, and looks like a little doll. Fleming or Moffo don't come close.
This is the one that does it for me, every time. Sometimes you hear a song and it moves you so much you just want to hear it over and over. What a gift!
Where are Flagstad,Ponselle.Glad you have Berger listed,as she was as good as it gets. She was intimidated by the great Ponselle, and had stage fright after marvelling at a Ponselle performance.Ponselle encouraged her,and even attended a performance. After the performance Ponselle said to her-Lily,tonight you sang the elle out of Ponselle.
The best ever. She makes me weep. It's so beautiful. One can only imagine the hours of practice, and what a good teacher she had. Her breathing, perfect.
