Thank you for getting me started. I had a hard time getting it working. Received an error every time I tried uploading the esp-32 camera sketch, when it got to the uploading......, portion in the Arduino IDE. To get it to upload I pressed and held the boot button, when inserting the USB cable into the USB port of my computer, then released the button, then uploaded the sketch, without any problems, until the end. Then it was stuck on the message, "Leaving... Hard resetting via RTS pin...". I pressed the rest. (reset) button but nothing happened. Then I realized that I might have entered the wrong password, for my network router, so I changed it in the script, and uploaded again. Presto, it worked and I saw the IP of the cam module in the serial monitor.

Hi Antony, would you please give me the details? I would like to know where did you buy the robot, it's global or chinese version, which version of the apps that installed in your phone. This information is important to decide which solution will works for you. As you can see in the video, mine is chinese version, so I just login with wechat account and binding the alpha mini directly, no need entering the serial number of the robot. But for someone who have another version of alpha mini or another version of apps, this solution may not works.

I created my wechat account and therefore connect to the application with this one. when binding the robot, it connects easily via bluetooth, but not wifi! the message then displayed is: "The serial number of this robot does not exist and cannot be bound". accuracy. I tried the connection through a shared wifi of my smartphone, I am in France.
@@anthonymoriot5788 You said, "it connects easily via Bluetooth", so it that's mean you have heard the beep sound when binding process, right? but then the process is halted with an error message. If so, then I don't have any experience with that error. But maybe you could try to downgrade to version 2.2.3. For unknown reason, this is the only version that works with my robot. Hope this helps.
@@anthonymoriot5788 after the robot has detected using the Bluetooth, the app will ask you an SSID and password, so the robot can connect to internet via your router or another Wifi hotspot. It doesn't need to have same wifi, but it will need each device to connect to internet.
