Our vision is to lead our generation into a transforming relationship with Jesus and authentic community with each other, so that everyone in the Bay Area and beyond can flourish.
I was a non believer hated my mom for going to church… 20 years later i came across some drugs and was addicted and trying to find my myself by going to church…. Good thing is im a believer but im still need help…
Hey Josh, I’m glad you’re here with us. I especially resonate with your message of loading our communication with a central message that brings us into alignment with God’s intentions for us at that very moment; and when we can’t find the right words the Holy Spirit groans with us and helps us in our weakness.
This is a totally subjective perspective, but I seem to languish behind more “cautious” drivers in the mid-lower-peninsula area (Palo Alto, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Atherton). And seem to have to dodge more “carefree“ drivers in the South/East Bay areas. 🤷♀️
Listening at work and I’m 🥹😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️ I know that is tough, but what a beautiful story. Thank you God for this beautiful testimony 🙌🏻❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing!!
These two invited me to church on Easter Sunday, 1983. I wasn't going to go, but somehow ended up there. It was Saratoga Presbyterian then. My life has never been the same since. I thank God everyday for what's He's done and is still doing and for these two who cared for me in my raw state at that time.
Thanks Mark for your thoughtful questions that leads to Phil clarifying things in the Sunday sermon. Phil really appreciated your thoughts on exegetical and expositional reading of Scripture and preaching
As to the listening part... this has been the most helpful thought I have ever heard.... Being listened to is so close to being loved that for most people can't tell the difference - David Augsburger
So loved all the pint sized Hallelujahs in the room. This series has been SO helpful. (the link to the resource guide is broken - I'd love a pdf version of the refridgerator magnet!
Always enlightening listening to Dr. Rice. She has so generously given her time to many special conversations at Menlo Church over the years , Always special. Thank you!
