Interesting. I just brought a 1995 Mac 19 home yesterday. I wonder why the bond between the hull and cap has separated like that. I'll have to keep eye on it. Mine was garage kept and has never seen salt water. I'm hoping I have a few years before I have to do what you are doing! They are cool little boats aren't they. Mine has a Suzuki DF50 on the back, but other than that it is as it came from the factory (other than raising the stern railing to get clearance for the engine when tilted up. So, now learning the engine so I can get it ready for the deep freeze that is weeks away. Those boats are really hard to come by up here in Canada. I had to go about 500 km to adopt mine. Good luck with the project!
@@redgreen610 hi my I know that started getting water from the rain true the cabin and I found it was from the top cap and the hull just keeps looking I going to add some more videos from that project soon thank you for the interest and support if need more information I will send to you thank you
@@julioandyoly9468 I just put her away for the winter. Looking forward to spring! Thank you for the offer of information. Always nice to know someone else may have been down the same road.
Tank you for the comment and support yes my first language is Spanish I tried my best to speak in English the little English I know I learned here after got here when I was 23 years thank you
Hi, I bought one 2022 26x went through Hurricane Ian and I'm still working on it. Did yours come with a running motor? I had to buy trailer too. I used the same boat ramp as you.
Yes the boat came with honda 50 hp it runs but no water coming from the side and I turn off take out and take home in my truck and the day we was ready to go we used a mercury 20 hp the we have from other boat macgregor 19 I going to finish the M26 first and then the M19 later thank you for the support
@@julioandyoly9468 Sounds like you and i had the exact same situation going on. We should share notes on issues were both dealing with. Mine came with a Mercury which had not run in 3 years so I got the boat towed to the same boat ramp. Your trailer looks good. I ended up buying a used original trailer for $800. I need to replace my mast and I'm waiting on one now. Dose yours have the rudders and keel? I had to clean mine as well from 3 years of the boat not in use. If you need any help with anything let me know I live in Estero.
@@davidwheeler7613 hi my friend yes we are in the same direction I don’t have the rudders I will fabricate two I have keel and I going to use a mast from a catamaran hobby 16 is 4 foot short but I will make work adapter with a piece of the original mast I will be posting videos of all my progress i live in Fort Myers if want I give my cell phone number if have any questions or help thank you
@@julioandyoly9468 Julio, if you need a rudder to use as a template for fabricating your new ones you can use one of mine. I'm not sure if the 26m is the same as my 26x but should be similar. I think the 2x6 plastic wood for docks would be strong and heavy and could work. I know where a lot of scrap wood can be found too but you need a boat to get there. i plan to sail my 26x all around Fl and Bahamas when it is ready but likely not until October.
Thank you for the advice I bought two new top windows original and I going to replace the outside molding and reseal at the same time for now are the two critical spots found leaking in ,thank you for the information, and support
Because I was recording the video and use the wrong tool sure use a flat head screw driver hahahaha and the first one I take out with my finger nails thank you for you comment and support

Thank you so much for all of these videos. I have a question. I think there used to be like a wooden floor on top of where the keel is. Did you remove that entire floor?
Hi thank you for you like the videos the bottom floor was make by wood and cover with fiber glass that is the one I do remove to rebuild with coosa material and the keel is filled with concrete I just make a modification and reseal the top with epoxy and fiber glass
@@julioandyoly9468 So it looks like you completely gutted the inside of the cabin, including removing the mast compression post. Do you have videos of how you rebuilt it after?
