Oh. Oh my god. Not only is this my first time hearing this track, and not only is it AMAZING, but you also used footage of ABANDONED OIL RIGS WHICH ARE SO COOL.

There are a few tracks by BOC with names that sound like faceless corporations or defunct manufacturers. Just the names evoke a strange mood/aesthetic that's impossible to pin down. For me there's something about the mystery a child might attach to these institutions, perhaps curiously looking at an abstract logo during an ad break or through the passenger window of a 1979 Ford Cortina. The CEO of Northern Plastics presumably has a very different conception of the term than your average listener.
This is so very apt. When I heard the song and learned its song name, I had some weird image of playing in the snow as a kid at some weird part of the city I've never been to, crossing over a big snowbank or toboggan hill, and finding this huge standalone green-ish building in a deserted parking lot, with many floors and rows of arched windows. The building is decorated with a stylized "NP" logo consisting of curved shapes that resemble an N and P and coloured a washed out green/turquoise separated in segments by thin black lines. I stare at it for a bit, mystified at what it could be, and then get called back to my group of friends because it's time to go home. I find it interesting but never talk about it to anyone, and I never see it again.
What's funny is if the people that go to his rallies hears this they will think it's old and outdated. The kids are listening on the other side. Strange paradigm this dichotomy.
