Saving money shouldn't be hard, and at Money Talks News we make it as easy as possible.
We began with a simple goal that we still strive for today: to help average people reach financial freedom, and do it without making their eyes glaze over in the process.
Money Talks News was founded by CEO Stacy Johnson in 1991 to create and distribute personal finance news to network-affiliated TV stations nationwide. Thirty years later, Stacy’s still here and we’re still providing personal finance news and advice. These days we also syndicate both print and video stories to the top news portals on the planet, including MSN, Yahoo, AOL and many others.
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
@@BlakeGabriel-23 The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
Here’s a pro tip. I lived in an apartment with free water but no air conditioning. Open one side of your shower curtain and place a large fan on the toilet aimed at it. Open the other end a bit and put your shower on full cold. Enjoy. This cooled my 800sqft apartment all summer. Can’t imagine how much water a permanent waterfall in my bathroom was, but maybe they found AC cheaper after I moved out.
No he did not! He said he invented the cooler when in Nam he had to fend off evil ice cream men, you know, the steering wheel is not round any more man!
If too many people don't vote right, various infringements such as bans on private sales or some kinds of confiscation can wipe out your investment. Get your bargains and enjoy them now, for who knows what tomorrow may bring?

But what I can’t stand is when people, sit around and count your pocketbook? See where you live what type of car you drive if you have any kids, etc’. See that scoping you out! It’s nobody’s business what you do with your money! I had someone trying to figure what I paid out can you believe that?Users Losers! 😮
Hey Stacy, I just watched your video and I must say that it was really informative and well-made. I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and repurpose your long videos into highly engaging shorts? I can also make high CTR thumbnails for your channel
You don't know Dave's name because he followed his own advice. You know his name because he was born into the upper middle class, leveraged his parents real estate knowledge and connections, allegedly went bankrupt, and then further leveraged their connections to climb out. Got rich telling the tale.
Some people have trash parents. And some peole are orphans from birth. Not a bad advice overall but not necessarily needed for good family, while pretty pointless in a family with bad parents.
I’m 46 and when this life is over I’m going to go to heaven and be with Christ. I have this hope and I have this joy and I’m looking forward to it. Don’t give me wrong. I’ve got a lot that I want to do with my family now, but when my time comes, I don’t want to be worried at all. I want to be ready to go.
Her point about traditional financial advice missing the mark for collectivist cultures is spot on. I started investing with $94K and, with patience and persistence, grew it to $3M. Watching small steps turn into something significant is incredibly fulfilling
Very grounded discourse which most ordinary folks can relate to, ponder and apply to their unique circumstances. In my experience, when it comes to building financial health, every positive step, no matter how small it is, will gain traction over time if we persist. It's a progression and not perfection..
Well, I’m in my 70s and I work on a road crew lane asphalt with 2030 and 40-year-olds I’m not ashamed of my age but I definitely don’t like being reminded of it every time I turn around because I have gray hair

Read Benjamin Graham's Book on Investing. But if you want the basics... 1. Save some money from work. 2. Put it into an ETF. Let it work for you. 3. Find a way to make more money. 4. Put anything extra in your etf. VOO, VTSAX, O... Here are some examples. Don't stock pick. :) Good luck. If you need any more help just ask. Things to look up or google... Rule of 72, Dividents, and Compoundng. Don't sell on red. If anything buy more. Stick to rule 2.
