Thanks for the review. I remember this as a teenager, what changed my whole perspective in reading this was Americans being colonized and imperialized and having to have a wounded ego about military defeat, which had not been a thing I ever considered before reading it.
I'm writing an alternate history book but it doesn't have a Nazi occupied America instead WW2 ended in a stale mate and a cold war takes place between Japan, the USA, and the third Reich.
Well, the Japanese only focussed on pre war American goods and Childan/Frink had something uniquely new to sell. The Japanese man wanted it to be produced as nonsense charms for the mass market, but Childan denied this with his proclamation of the proud contemporary American spirit. But I guess you have a point with the Nazis on the Mars and the Japanese described as a declining empire.
Good review. I felt the same about she-hulk as well. The Internet made it seem like it was awful and ultra "woke" but i found it quite funny and interesting
