Got a little newsflash for you anything Sidney Poitier was in was pure gold, and he should’ve won an Oscar for every movie he was ever in final case closed I would’ve loved to of seen him in the TV series in the heat of the night that would’ve made my day. Thanks for this upload and love from all of us on Staten Island, New York.
You can gave all the cool camera and sets shots money cqn buy, but story plot and character depth will always be the point of center and everything else will only be as good as it in expression authenticity.
Great review! Totally agree! Would make a fun double feature with Fury Road, but I’m kind of hoping we get another chapter (or more) in between the two!
All art is inherently subjective but the Phantom Menace is poorly written, badly edited and blue screen dominanted poor movie, which a couple of great lightsaber scenes and an amazing pod race sequence.
This review is 100% spot on! I also had it at a 4/10. That whispering spider, bland score, and uninteresting dialogue had me close to nodding off or turning it off several times. Really, closer to a 2 or 3 out of 10 but I gave it the extra bump just because it wasn’t another horrible comedy.
What’s whack about this movie is that is that presents Cromagnon type humans as African or mixed race, when all the DNA evidence of Cromagnon shows they were nearly identical to some European populations like the Basque.
Cro-magnon man who modern Europes decent from migrated from Africa 37,000 years ago. So there's that. Previous humanoids who left Africa 370,000 years ago left no genetic impressions on modern Europeans. So this film being set 40,000 years a go the people should be darker not lighter.
I thought this concept was so ripe for an awesome thrilling ride, and to me the movie was not that. At 95min the pace surprisingly dragged and the movie tries to do too much that it loses sight of its simplistic yet brilliant concept. Could’ve been amazing but I walked out feeling, meh. Also I’m pretty sure it forgets there is no gravity in space more than a couple times! Great review
I am seriously tempted to watch this film just for Benedict Cumberbatch’s epic cameo that everyone is talking about. I heard he’s barely in for like two minutes. So praise for him makes me excited.

Timothèe Chalamet is adorable! He is literally the cutest little angel ever and I recently developed a crush on him. By the way, I'm currently writing a novel about Willy Wonka's daughter, Hillary. It's called Little Wonka. Fun fact: Willy Wonka's wife's name is Ava. And when I write Willy Wonka in this book about this thirteen-year-old girl who's half Lynn Loud Jr. athlete (If you know about The Loud House, you'll know what I'm talking about) and half chocolatier (takes after her daddy and mama, Ava), I see Timothèe Chalamet in this version. In the book after an introduction with Willy marrying Ava and Ava becoming pregnant with Hillary then giving birth to Hillary after nine months, the novel really starts when Hillary meets fourteen year old Sir Patrick Roswell Larkin. He's the youngest son of Pepperidge Larkin and the younger brother of Rocky Larkin. According to prophecy, Hillary is to save London from an evil threat. Turns out Pepperidge is the threat and Rocky is also a threat. They turn Yub Yub, Willy's trusted Oompa Loompa and Hillary's uncle since before she was born who speaks with a British accent and also speaks Loompanese, which is actually Ewok language, into an evil version and Pepperidge clones Patrick into evil clones and Hillary had to shoot them but ends up actually shooting Patrick (the real one). Her tears heal him, Willy is proud of his daughter, Hillary and Patrick share their first kiss, they end up together at the end, and Pepperidge and Rocky are arrested and they turn into the famous Roald Dahl characters, Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker.
This is such a weird movie to me because I love the story, I love the characters, I love the songs, and I especially love the animation. But put them together as a movie and I don't like the movie, lol! Every time I watch this movie, I feel let down. I dunno why that is!
I think Liam was a terrible person, leaving and abandoning his fiancé at the wedding. Then ignore her calls and spend 8 years, abandoned everybody he knew and cared about him. Than try to spend time with a child he never knew, Rosie was pretty dumb of forgive Liam for everything. He ever done to her. I think The movie should have ended them, not ending up together in the end.
I loved this movie and thought they did a great job handling this touchy subject while being faithful to Priscilla's interpretation. This is the first review I've seen so far so thanks for covering it! :)
