Hi! I’m Sam, and I’m a school teacher from Copenhagen, Denmark! I ocassionally like to learn new skills, attempt interesting challenges and document the proces 🎥 The Learning Project is an effort to debunk myths and preconceived notions about what is and isn’t possible for us to do!
ive been a gym rat for decades...buying parallettes a few months ago changed my whole mindset with workouts. try burpees with the paralettes and try push up to Lsit and back.
Doing that on a bank is way harder . Kudos to you brother. I’m 51 and had 3 knee surgeries and I’m having a mental block in dropping. In i’ve dropped in 2 foot4‘ 5 foot but I slammed hard on a wheel bite and now it’s stuck in my head so I have to start all over again. It is truly a mental game. Cheers to you. I’m so glad that you got your drop in you gotta keep practicing joe specially older guys. We have to keep practicing, I was actually scared of the 3 foot dropping, but I regularly regularly drop in without thinking about it. Salute from the United States. 🇺🇸 If you ever come to the Atlanta area come to Duncan Skatepark we would love to show you our parks ! Thanks again for this great video tutorial. Mike ATL !
It depends of the language. For Chinese, Duoliguo is atrociously bad compared to Hello Chinese which is designed around the specifics of Chinese characters. Duolinguo works well for alphabetic languages.
great vid! the true question is , have u ever played a real piano? i see its all digitals. The thing is u dont truly realise how bad ur pedaling and articulation is on digitals. It ''masks'' most of our mistakes. I say this from experience... when i purchased an acoustic things changed way more.
Very true - I’ve played real pianos at occasions, and I actually got to play a Steinway and Sons for the first time when I visited the Opera House in Copenhagen recently. That was an exeprience for sure, and while I do like the simplicity and budget-friendliness of digital pianos, I have to agree that it doesn’t compare to the real thing.
@@the.learningproject absolutely agreed. I made the mistake of purchasing a ''high end'' digital piano with all its bells and whisles... It served it's purpose for some time, but since I got an acoustic I had to adjust so many things in my playing... specially pedaling..That was the worst it was sounding diabolical at times lol! From acoustic to acoustic it also varies, I play on my teachers piano and some other pianos in practicing rooms around my city and all of em have a different feel, but I can adapt after a few minutes. Switching from digital to acoustic is a drastic change.
This was a few years ago, but I followed the notes that were available for the simplified version of the piece on an app called “Flowkey”. When I made this video I probably spent around 1-3 hours practicing daily.
Hi, you did it YOUR WAY simply because you've forgotten the 'in between': a piano course on INTERNET. THAT'S what AI did and honestly: I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND YOU TO DO THAT. WHY: because from what I've just watch you doing - which granted isn't too bad at all - I nonetheless can easily tell that you've SKIPPED certain VITAL INFORMATION which for sure down the road WILL come back to haunt you. What I mean is: those pieces you're playing: AI play them too. The difference: AI CAN SEE THE 'GRAMMAR' WHICH MAKE 'MEMORIZATION' A MILLION MORE EASY. That is: YOU SEE NOTES..........AI SEE PATTERNS. When AI make a 'grammar-mistake', I'm like: HOW could I be that stupid: of course it should be a B-flat or G-sharp; of course it should be a MAJOR/MINOR CHORD. I'm warning you: YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DISCERN WHAT YOU'RE DOING IN ORDER TO KEEP GROWING. You CAN'T go on 'MEMORIZING'. And by the way: to your knowledge: FANTASSY-IMPROMPTU of Chopin is: ALL GRAMMAR. HEAT MY ADVICE: TAKE AN INTERNET COURSE. YOU'LL NEVER REGRET THAT. I'll leave it there!!
"Which keys to press". Sigh. Stunting on the keyboard using video gaming skills. I suppose if all you want is to be able to execute a few impressive pieces... I used Skoove for two weeks and moved on to using adult instruction books, which do teach a bit of theory, nothing like the intimidating graphics you used here. Even that method is geared to goal-obsessed adults. So, you're playing blues pieces and syncopation too early. Ultimately I chose to pay a fluency coach for a deep foundation in basic musicality via super-gradual child-like practice before I even start traditional theory-based performance training. I began this journey at age 66. To each his own.
Thanks for sharing, I just stared yesterday and unfortunately I sound just like you on your first day, but my god if im half as good as after 6 months I will be happy, thanks for inspiring me to practice hard and that there is hope to play well after a few months

I can't believe this man. Playing the simplified version after one year is impression in itself. I've been playing for 30 plus years and I still haven't got this piece down. I am just attempting it again now. I would suggest you stick to the simplified version and not overtax your brain by not perfecting the harder version till you really have the polyrhythm, then he got it. I am beyond impressed my friend. Together, right, left, Together or pass the melted butter lol! The other way of doing it is to take the common denominator of 12 as both the righthand which is 4 beats divide into the 12 by 3 - so draw a line and mark it 1-12. Then for the right hand put a mark for every right hand and do the same for the left hand. 3 beats divides into 12 by 4 giving 3 beats for the left hand. This man is a genius - did you really only start playing a year ago! Incredible. Hats off to you man! For attempting this very challenging piece in the first place. You're never get it perfect just like the rest of us. I say this because when you get to perfection, perfection gets further away. You'll keep chasing perfection. We are our own worst enemies. Seriously it was perfect enough. I am shell-shocked here lol. Thank you for giving me a wake-up call and really kicking my butt into action lol! I was a little surprised though that you didn't attempt the slow part as that is a lot easier lol. Congratulations. Hope you had a good time away. Definitely subscribed!
Cool video tutorial. Yesterday in a CrossFit box we tried for the first time “l-sit to bent arm hold handstand” 😅. I beat my forehead but i could get a handstand at least for 5 seconds. Coach gives us a 3 weeks to make that exercise perfect 😅
Handstands and handstand push ups are in general easier to do on parallettes because one can easily control both the underbalance and overbalance direction through wrist radial and ulnar deviation
Glad you enjoyed man 🙏🏽 I know that fear and exactly how it feels! Trust me, if you ever decide to pick it up however, nothing beats the feeling of overcoming that fear and landing a new trick. Just take it slow and go at your own pace!
