That sure is a poor job of showing how to install this valve. What about the rubber filter screens? The system needs two of the rubber washers, but only one was provided.
Now why doesn’t the mixing valve come with crappy stab fittings. Seriously, this video makes it look like a complete hack job from Joe the “good enough” handyman.
Did I miss something? I know how mixing valves work, and I know how other brand's boosters work (at least Rheem's). This video's title and opening seconds says it's about a booster, but the rest of the video is all about a mixing valve, and it never says how the booster fits in. Am I wrong? I realize mixing valves also boost hot water output, but mixing valves aren't the same as boosters. What is the small tank ~above the main tank in this video? Or is Rheem's booster just a mixing valve in disguise? I don't think so. It says it allows for a tank-tankless hybrid - it is a mini-tankless - one which shares the same electrical supply as the tank.
