Great video, shows what a terrible design this is though, having to remove that much to get a part out that is doomed to fail eventually.. I guess it is good for mechanics to increase their workshop hours though..
How not to do an oil service! Firstly you should remove the plastic air inlet and hose in one rather than potentially damaging the hose by prying it with a screwdriver. You only need to remove one screw. Secondly you should put a rag beneath the oil filter housing to stop oil falling on to the block. There will be plenty of smoke while the spilled oil burns off.
Just done the same job last week with the retarder bearing gone must’ve been like that for a while and was causing all kind of trouble scince new with a banging when engaging a gear it was on contract for the first 5 years so its only now we have discovered it‘great vid’s though keep them coming 👍😎🇬🇧
Great video ,have a mk6 fiesta 2007 and the front nearside sits low etc .Had the car checked by 3 garages who swear blind the coil springs are good but it nosedives during heavy braking and the nearside tyre is wearing down much faster than the other side but trying to get anybody to change the damn things is almost impossible so will do them myself with the aid your video ,i mean what could go wrong !
