We invite you to share with us your prayerful reflection on The Sunday Gospel readings. With Bishop David Walker, Fr John Frauenfelder and Virginia Ryan centreforchristianspirituality.com.au
Faith Life
Our faith is in Jesus who comes to us as the human face of God. Faith life is human life lived in a deeply personal and intimate relationship with Jesus. Jesus is our friend and lover, the most significant point of reference in our life. We need to lead our life conscientiously and intentionally so that all that we do is done within the context of our love relationship with Jesus.
Faith Leadership
Faith leadership is a natural expression of our faith life. There can be no faith leadership without faith life. Whatever the form this leadership takes, it is essentially an act of faith, bringing to the leadership situation Christ himself. Jesus is the model of faith leadership, just as He is the model of faith life.
thank you I listen every week. Jesus message to me was being seated in Christ. The Holy Communion indicates, threw him, with him and in him. I knew he was in us but didn't realize we are in him, meaning we are also at the right hand of the father seated in Christ.
Thank you. I do enjoy every week listening to your reflections and sharings. These are so often so different to the homily at Mass for the particular week.
The news is a poor source of actual real practice. It is slanted and negative and filled with human failure. It's not Gospel. Only Christ speaks and reveals Gospel.
This looks like 👍🏻 what is happening in Jerusalem today…every one is fighting for their own identity, but they don’t yet know the truth which is given by the Holy Spirit 🕊️
Is he not telling us that even if we are cradle to grave Catholics that we will not get into Heaven any faster than If someone who accepts the Lord Jesus Christ into their heart on their deathbed?
This was a masterclass in how to avoid addressing the text. All that got a mention was for God loved the world. What is the point of this if you're not going to discuss the text?
Thank you for this video! I could not attend my church this morning but I know our Minister is teaching on these verses. I notice that the Risen Jesus proclaims Peace be with you twice before giving his blessing to the community. Once the Spirit has moved in our souls, we can do the same to others. Hope this makes sense! Thanks again.
Luke 10:12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city. Luke 10:12 The corn. But I ( The Alpha, the last within the beginning, the mind of the first heaven, ) say unto you, ( wise, virgins ) that it ( the mind of your spirit ) shall be more tolerable ( in one’s conscious experience of reality ) in that day ( in the dispensation of The Spirit Of Truth, concerning the wise virgins that are a part of the 144,000 ) for Sodom, ( the spirits in the spirit world that are in the second heaven, in the mind of the spirit of the Omega, the first within the end ) than for that city. ( whatever city that might be, in the mind of their spirit. In that day of the judgment within The Spirit Of Truth. ) Sodom is already in the spirit world, even though “it’s like a swamp without the water” it’s more tolerable than the lake of fire.
Did he know he was the Son of God? The term son of God was used commonly similar to the terms like son of man, etc. They did not have the meaning the Church gave them much later from 4 th century onwards under the pressure of Roman Imperial theology with the purpose of unifying the territories the Empire either controlled or trying to control. This fact is very clear once one studies the Christian history critically and objectively. Jesus was divine to the extend that he lived and tried to live a divine life as a fully human person.
Our knowledge of Jesus comes to us from the Christian Scriptures. They represent the faith of the early Christian community in the first century. The Scriptures do use the title “Son of God “ of Jesus and clearly give it a meaning that point to Jesus as the divine Son of God. The teaching of the Church on this matter is simply reflecting the teaching of the Scriptures.
