Performance and workshop footage of Banafsheh, internationally-acclaimed Iranian Sufi dance artist and transformational teacher. Banafsheh is a pioneer in a style she has created called Dance of Oneness® which fuses dance, wisdom teachings and healing.
Indeed! Banafesh jaan Denise passed on 7 years ago and he loved you as much as I came to at your workshops. You are the symbol of everything pure and good in Iran. Dance on your beauty as wings of love in the sky.❤
So all encompassing is the Female Fashion Monopoly that even in the case of men wearing skirts ethnically, it seizes those styles also and hijacks them in a cartel sense.
Great interview, loved the dialogue and the beautiful energy both of you have. It was one of those where you feel the energy of the people (more than the content, though the content was wonderful) is the main transmission/point. I attended one of your dance classes 7 or so years ago at Esalon and enjoyed it very much. I used to be a psychotherapist and energy healer and couldn't agree more with your perspective on the body. In fact, it's become one of my main motifs in my art, poetry and personal essays. (I gave up my career as a psychotherapist 6 years ago). I wanted to also say that Tantric Philosophy (and I don't mean exclusively tantric sex) does a wonderful job at addressing the sacredness that is our humanity: the body, our feelings, the ordinary, the material. I find it to be one of the most compelling body of thinking I have read thus far. I will look more into Daoism though as I haven't read much on that!
Thank you so much for describing so well the depth of passion that moves us, and the loving way you embrace the lover Rumi. I also am inspired by his wisdom of love. I long to talk of the same passion for the wordless. Chill with my words of oneness, and keep spreading your beautiful love. More Than a Ripple Like a wave, sliding out onto the sand, I’m being called home to that loving beach. Why would I ever want to stop it? Inside, I’m an ocean heading there now, even though within, I sometimes fear crashing upon some lonely and desolate rocky shore. I can hear the Gulls, They sing to me now, like the Sirens of old, I know there will always come a time, when I slip back into those cold depths. The wonders of Atlantis swirl in the currents. Within that deep, blameless time, like alchemy, reveals the healing elixir needed to fill that dark gestation. But rather, I yearn to display my hidden mystic time jewels, My smooth, bleached broken shells and worn glass, My myriads of beached thought-forms, living and dead. Often I sense distant shores. Always longing for the beaches of my union. Oh, to slide once more, out into the sun. I Invite that star of beauty to shine through me again. I stretch way out, wetting the warm sand, in one of my shallowest of waves. Such a place there is, within and without, where all waves are timely. Each bringing another eternal ocean-breath of reality, grounded and gorgeous! Don Felling
Excelente comentario, excelente.
