honestly it’s mostly to have a higher shutter speed with changing iso. but i’ve gotten a lot better with exposure since then. this video is over a year old i believe
@@PhotoTripps23 Well the results look great on my TV 👍🏻 I have recently started using auto ISO in manual mode on my Sony A7ii. Set your shutter and aperture, and the exposure compensation wheel effectively becomes an ISO wheel 😎
Love these types of videos. This is what RU-vid was made for, not some fast paced brainrot. Quick question, what size of pro mist filter did you use on this lense? 82mm?
thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻. yeah all my filters are 82mm thread size, i just use a step up ring to fit them in my lenses. The sigma 85mm lens has a 77mm thread
I like the way you framed the Empire State Bldg. with the wrought iron gate/fencing. Top Of The Rock is fun but it can be a bit overwhelming with those expansive views, so I appreciated your "pick & choose" approach. Something I find myself doing whenever I'm at the Grand Canyon, haha.
Love this bro. Some dope ass images. I want to know wtf happened to that car also! Question, are you using a lapel mic for your audio or is your Gopro just picking up your voice thru the onboard microphone?
Love your videos, to far apart tho😉 fav pic: the man pointing! What time of the day was it? Really wanna go at sunset to top of the rock. Coming to NY in early september. 7:30 must be perfect, right?
Seconding this, while daytime shots are fine, sunset probably gives the best skyline views of Manhattan period. Dusk is around 8:30, so definitely come around like an hour or so before that.
@@ng_moto5993 yeah, only got the top of the rock to go, been on all other observation decks, during daylight so it is time for a sunset/night visit. Dont wanna be to early tho, standing up there waiting…but not to late either 😂
@@PhotoTripps23 I actually have a Canon AE1 sitting in a cupboard somewhere. Developing the film was too difficult and I don't know if I could afford to send them away to get printed.
Sick vid bro. I just got an 85mm f2,0 for my Canon R8. I haven't collected much experience with polar filters yet. Would you recommend getting one for it?
Dear Mr.Tripp. Wonderful images, as always. Very atmospheric in the dark streets. Also very inspiring. One thing that amuses me is the little “sniffs” in the background. LOL!! Keep up the good work. Thank you.
I just got an 85mm lens after shooting 35mm and 50mm for like 10 years lol I know it is going to feel limiting but seeing this photowalk has me excited to mix it up and finally have significant change in perspective to my photos. Thanks for sharing this!
Hey - great video mann. I’m looking to start and add street photography to my portfolio. What mist filter did you use? Some really nice night shots and diffused lights. Thanks
I did similar walk with the 12-24mm forcing myself to only use 12mm. It's challenging and fun. It's important not to place anything of importance around the corners of the frame since it can warp/distort the subject too much. It would there be interesting to try a laowa lens that claims to have 0 distortion.
