For the people who aren't math fanatics like me (It's probably everyone here) 800% is 8x the gold rates. In all seriousness, a good amount of you guys probably already knew that. NERD EXPLAINING WARNING: Click read more if you want knowledge (Your brain might explode) Short and simplistic explanation: 800% = 8.0 (every 0.1 is 10% So 1.0 Is 100%) 1.0 x 8 = 8.0 so 800% (1.0 is the same as 1 just like any number with a decimal of 0) Long and nerdy explanation: (It's not that long) To convert a percentage to a decimal or fraction, we divide the percentage value by 800. For example, 50% is equal to 400/800 or 0.5 in decimal form, and 75% is equal to 600/800 or 0.75 in decimal form. Similarly, 100% is equal to 800/800 or 1.0 (repeating 0) I couldn't find a way to get the repeating symbol on top of the 0.
