Have you had any follow ups or success in rockwool replacements? I have done everything 'homemade' including compost tea and ph adjusters like vinegar and ash water, but the pod is a head scratcher. I don't want to use baskets because I can't replace them or grow them. I use the hangers, which are easy to make on the 3D printer and are very durable. Anyway, I can't use things like ceramic beads. I searched for luffa because I had the same idea and found your video! I was just wondering if luffa worked out for you or if you found a better alternative since 2020. Thanks!
I love the video and the video series. I think in this experiment because you had the two variables of the Insta pot and the liquid culture it kind of negates the idea of like the same thing happening if you use an mss. Most likely the reason that your viewers are watching your spore videos is because for the mushrooms that they are trying to grow it is not really possible to get a liquid culture in a “conventional way” in order to get a liquid culture for the mushrooms that many of your viewers are trying to grow. They would have to invest in a flow hood and agar plates and make their own liquid culture. Thanks again for all the great information.
Love it! I put an automatic door from the coop to the run where their food and water is. Then I let them out of the run to free range. Currently 7 chickens and no issues.
Here in North central Rural Florida if you DON"T have a enclosed garage for your vehicles these devils can cause $1000's of damage by them eating the wiring harnesses etc.
We have had GREAT success with the Squirlenator, & drown them, this week we got 34, but I really DON'T like drowning them, BUT I have to get one of those also
Hello dear. Greetings from GA! I thoroughly enjoyed your video and appreciate you sharing your design. I intend to replicate this for our yard, my wife and I love seeing the birds coming in for a visit. I was curious, have you seen or where you able to capture Squirrels or Raccoons making their attempts to get to the feed? Did you have to install a taller post or was the post in your video a perfect height? Thank you and hope all is well!
FOR ANYONE REALLY WANTING TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE CONTAM. MAKE YOUR OWN AGAR DISHES AND TEST IT. ALL THESE VIDS ARE FALSE INFO. IF IT IS BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT PATIENT, THEN KNOW YOU ARE WASTING MORE TIME THROWING AWAY GOOD LC INSTEAD OF JUS WAITING FEW DAYS TESTING IT. TAKES ME FEW HOURS TO MAKE 100 AGAR DISHES WITH STANDARD CROCKPOT. COST FOR SUPPLIES IS UNDER $20 ASSUMING YOU HAVE REST OF MATS (WHICH YOU SHOULD IF YOU MAKING LC) NO EXCUSE, KEEP IT SIMPLE. THE ANSWER IS -<TEST ON AGAR>-
My experience only: I tried store bought colloidal silver at 30 ppm. Sprayed 3 times a day the week before I flipped to flower and 5 weeks during flower. It did not work. And yes you do need to keep colloidial silver in the dark and a tinted bottle if you can. Second try: made my own colloidal silver with 99% silver rods, distilled water, a mason jar and a 12 volt cordless drill battery. Let it set for over a week until it turned brown like iced tea. Sprayed the same 1 week before and 5 weeks during flower. This method worked. It did not produce pollen sacks though, it grew bannanas that contained pollen. I did end up with seeds and just let my plant continue growing until it died. I set it in the greenhouse because of the cold but fogot to water it. Some of the seed did not reach maturity but many of them did. Those seeds grew strong healthy plants. Hope this helps anyone who is experementing like I have been.
Do you need to add more water before planting the colonized spawn? I have gotten trichoderma with each grow, regardless how sanitary I have tried to keep everything. I Pasteurized my substrate, but didn't sterilize. I am using coco coir, vermiculite & gypsum.
Liked the Relacon but it had a faulty scroll wheel. Everyone seems to say it happens. I couldn't go without it for gaming and had to send it back. Very curious what that left handed controller with the singular stick is. Edit: nevermind I missed that part lol. Good vid.
We added a slinky to stop squirrels from climbing the post and made the post two feet higher, total of 6 ft, … we no longer have squirrels messing with our feeders.
I got mine a month ago. The roof was a pain and mine is slightly crooked but works. I have 6 chickens and thats the MAX I would put in. My biggest issue with the coop is lack of ventilation when you close the sliding coop door. I feel I'm going to have to find a way to make another higher placed window/vent for when the door is closed. Other than that its sturdy.
they are special needs birds :( my mom rescues them and they can have quality of life with lots of help. Their lives are worth saving but they require lots of time and research. Join a Cornish cross pet chicken group.
the fruit we're planning on trying this August is the pawpaw. we'd planted cornelian cherries, but it was difficult to process it - mostly pit and the flesh didn't come off easily.
For a southern grape muscadines come to mind and Scuppernong which is a variety of muscadine. A friend of mine has muscadines on his pine straw farm. I hope to get out there when they are ripe and get a bunch, but I have to beat the deer to them. I hope to try freezing them. I have been using store bought grapes frozen and they are an awesome treat. Can't eat to many in a row, brain freeze or tongue freeze.
