It looks good....hate it broke on you but risk was worth it I guess lol...at least we know not to try to take that screw out Swems to be a solid truck from my pov....will definitely be getting one Probably will add marine grease to what needs greasing as well
Thank god I watched this. I had a panick attack that I needed to buy more parts before he said something was stuck in the box. The same thing happened to me lol.
@@UrbanCrawlers not a problem bud. There’s a nice one for $15 that even comes with bearings to replace the original bushings on the trailer. I typed in trx4m trailer lift kit on google and it pops right up. You should do a video on it if you purchase it
Something isn’t right mine has taken a beating & the only time the front popped off it took a good size fall but I have anodized red body mount clips I think without the back clips it flexes & pops off. And black was the wrong color for the links eventually they’ll be raw metal. I tested mine today after some upgrades & took some lines I’d done before & it’s definitely a better climber now & I was able to get up a line I can never get up not even with my Rock Pirates Interceptor build. I think synergy there maybe a custom front mount maybe Hi Tech I have the rear magnet mount for the Ascent they make. What is interesting is I’ve already seen people replacing the body one was a Toyota Tacoma. I like the body but it would be very easy to replace it.
Yeah, I don't know what it is about the body but I took care of it. Everything else. I'm just gonna see and replace it as it breaks. Or as I choose, I guess, but thanks for the tips.
My son bought a 2nd batch Fusion and that pinion-to-shaft screw came out on the trail. Had it thread-locked and running in minutes, followed by hours of problem free crawling, but goes to show that it's still worth taking apart before running to at least check how snug everything is, and when needed, soak hardware in alcohol or brake cleaner before applying thread-lock. Definitely pack more grease in those differential cases and also the portal boxes, not enough from factory. ✌🏼
Nice wheels I have a set of the same drivers & I love them I did break the tip off of one of the smaller drivers. I just put together red beadlocks that look close to yours for my Fusion but they were from Treal & what’s intresting is my wheels came with outer scale screws & the tool that you use to install them I didn’t expect that. Also I have Green inserts & the Blue or soft & I have the blue ones in the Fusion I’m kinda experimenting but I think what I’m going to do is use the Blue soft inserts in the front & the medium Green in the rear. Hope ya get the rig out for some crawling the Fusion is an amazing crawler.
I have the Red Ascent & that screw you broke has fallen out 2 times now if it’s tight I’d leave it. I’m actually waiting right now for my Fusion to be delivered today & I have a bunch of parts coming. It’s a great rig at that price.
Yeah, it's my first 1/10 scale crawler. Even though I broke the parts which are coming in on the thirteenth. I do really like the truck. Congratulations on yours as well.
I like redcat, my danchee was boss, I need new gears for it, cheap, but I’ll save for one of these over FMS, but it’s a close one! Happy racing my friend
That sucks about the screw breaking, but trust me, I have wave 1 and I have snapped the pins in my CVDs three times already.... I am glad to see that they are addressing the issues that people have found. Looking forward to your first run! Earned a Sub from me!
It sucks that you broke the screw but thanks for doing this. I just bought one and i was on the verge of doing this. I looked at the little grub screw on the axles and they were very tight so i'll assume the ones on the pinion gears should be tight too. Thanks
I waited around too long and missed the first batch. I am pretty excited to get one ordered. I have over a dozen 24's and 1/18s. I have been waiting for the perfect 1/10 to come along, and this is it! Thanks for the content, and warning brother!
Just got mine today and love driving it in the back yard, no grass, sticks or stones can stop it. However when I took the battery out to charge it the charger doesn't work at all. Very bummed!
That sucks sorry to hear that. Definitely. Contact who you purchased it from or check the warranty card? They will replace it for you. I know it's an inconvenience, but at least you know you like it.
hers a note you lose steering angle using those blocks the blocks that come with the diamond axles have notches to give a extra 5 degrees of steering angle they make new brass blocks for the diamond axles and counterwieghts that sit inside the wheel
These components are compatible. It is stated on the injora website. And says nothing of losing five degrees. Yes, they were just released. I have them we'll be doing a Review video on those shortly.
@@UrbanCrawlers look at the variation of the blocks you will notice that there is a difference between them not only are they shaped differently but they also have notches cut into them to allow them to turn farther than stock or the replacements you got, check out your original ones you will see what i am saying where they run into the c part you will see the new ones and the diamond axle blocks have nothces cut where they meet the c's . also i been fighting injora they dont tell you everything for example if you want to replace those shafts on those diamond axles your gonna have to look elsewhere injora doesnt sell them separately they dont sell plus 4mm axle shafts also say you have the 370 motor trans combo if you ruin a gear you cant replace it witout buying the whole trans motor combo again same with the 370 motor i been fighting injora for the last 2 days over these issues i got the diamond axles on first drive they broke a shaft and it didnt even flip or anything they are sending replacements but told me they do not sell them individually and if they break again i would have to buy new axles and told me the same for the motor cause i was trying to get them to sell me spare 370 motors and gears and they told me would need to purchase the trans motor combo if i wanted any replacement parts im at the point where i will no longer spend a dime on injora products due to this predatory business tactic
No, not at all. This IR40 Diamond build, was purchased piece by piece to see if it could be put together without a Traxxas TRX-4M donor vehicle. And that is what exactly was accomplished. From the rubber on the wheels to the electronics that moves the vehicle is all purchased from Injora. Other than the actual battery.
Great video 👍🏻try some limiting rubber bands in the front for better climbing, I’m using two 30mm on mine ir40 around the front shocks but I want to figure how install only one in the center of the front axel for better flex
I appreciate your input. I normally do install limiting straps A.k.a. Black rubber bands. This IR40 Diamond build was just made to run for the video. A review video is coming out soon. There have been a lot of changes done to it since this video. Thanks for your support. Hope to see you on the next one.
It does NOt fit the factory TRX4M high trail chassis Rails. You would have to cut it, but I wouldn't recommend it because the modification is irreversible. Save the money and get the High trail universal chassis from INJORA. Then you can get the IR40 BOBY.
