Hi Rose, the Afghan is beautifully done! I am also a Stoney Creek fan. So great to see your finishes and conversions. I enjoy doing it as well. I would rather use what I have instead of buying new all the time. I was really glad to see your conversion of remember me as that is one of my WIPs and I did a conversion as well. I will show mine in a couple of weeks. I do have to ask.. Is that fabric in the crates behind you? Also, where did you get the crates? They may work for my growing Quilting fabric. 😂 Jacque
@CrossMyStitches yes the background is my quilting fabric. I have lots of fabric. It is a 12 foot wall and the crates fill the entire length. I bought the crates at Joann's stores over several years. They used to be $7 to $8 dollars but now they run $11 to $12. If you sign up on there app you can get coupons that help bring it down. Thanks for watching.
Happy anniversary from both myself and Kylie. 🎉Thanks for mentioning our channel 😀 we are happy to hear that you like coming back to see what we get up to. Here's to many more years of flosstube 🎉🎉
Hi Rose, happy one year anniversary 🎉 I love the way you finished Snow, it’s beautiful. Sampler, Flag, Bird, Rose. Until next time, happy stitching 🪡😊🌸
Happy flossaversary Rose…so many lovely finishes. I am like you, part of the joy of stitching is the fully finishing. 123Stitch should have frequent flyer miles. 🦉🧵🪡😊
Enjoyed seeing your stitching today..beautiful finishes. Everytime I watch you ,I just drool over all that lovely fabric behind you:) Flag. Happy stitching!
The blanket is so adorable. I love all the little animals. Trying to choose a favorite designer is so difficult. Maybe The Blue Flower. Happy Stitching
The Afghan is done and fabulous. My daughter likes Tiny Modernist patterns. I like a lot of designers…right now love Pigeon Coop Designs and The Blue Flower. I love peacocks and have that free pattern too. I just realized I need to email you to get your new address for Christmas cards. 🦉🧵🪡🌻
Hi Rose, congrats on your ffo's and fo's. I totally have to buy those 3 stoney creek charts now as they are super adorable and would love to make something similar to yours for my nephews. The little owl you showed that was the freebie is called autumn owl by Shannon Christine Designs. She and Durene Jones are my favourite designers and im starting to really like Maria Diaz. 😊
Thanks for the shout out! You share so much great information in your videos. Happy stitching! Like you-we don’t have one favorite designer. We are very eclectic stitchers😉
Wow! That afgan is amazing..you can tell you put a lot of love into it...your son and daughter- in- law will love it❤. Favorites for stitching are many. I don t do many samplers or anything prim. I enjoy Stoney creek also, and told in a garden patterns..anything vintage also appeals to me. And go to for relaxation is anything Carolyn Manning..always a joy! Take care, happy stitching!
Hi Rose I found your Channel through Karen - The Stitching Owl. I have Subscribed to your Channel. I have a Floss Tube Channel called Linda Klinedinst I love all of your WIPS and Finishes. Everything is so pretty. I have the Snowmen Chart Booklet as well. I have not stitch any of them yet. I want to. Your Full Coverage is just beautiful. Wow. I love this. I do mine on 25 Count Lugana Fabric - 1 x 1 Full Cross. I can go as high as 32 Count White Fabric - My Preference is 28 Count 2 x 2. I like 14 or 18 Count Aida by Zweigart. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵☕️☀️❤️
Hi Rose! Good to see you again! Did I see you at one of Laura's zooms this weekend?? I whole-heartedly agree about aida- it is just as beautiful on aida as a 40. I may be the oddball but my favorite count fabric is whatever I happen to be stitching on. I have only gone up to 40 and that's fine. On the other end-lower count- I have stitched on burlap, and I think it ends up being 5 or 6 count and I did it with yarn. It was a small and turned out so cute. Yay- lovely finish and great progress! I enjoyed stitching with you this afternoon.
Love where you filmed today…is that all rolls of stitching fabric behind you? I stitch a little bit of everything…favorite is 20 count Aida with one strand of floss. I have done one over one on 28 and 32 count evenweave…very slow going for sure. Fabulous to see you last weekend on zoom! 🦉🪡🧵. Aha…near the end you said quilting fabric. I too have a small quilt store in my house.
Love your channel. My fabric of choice is 14 count Aida. I started stitching on it in the 80’s and never changed but admire people who stitch on other fabric
@ccockrum59 what I have done with the backs of the afghans is get a light flannel that compliments the stitching and sew it to the back. I will leave several inches of the afghan fabric and fringe that. I sew the outside edges and then around each square to keep the backing steady.
@@UntwistyourStitches Thank you for explaining how it is finished. I have seen the afghan material and wondered what to do with the back. Maybe I'll add some to my stash now. :)
Hi Rose, great flosstube episode. My favourite fabric is either 16 or 18ct Aida. I like that the best cause it's easy to see but also gives fantastic coverage. The highest I've stitched on is 28ct 2 over 2. That snow pattern is just adorable and i like how you made it your own with the changes. I love how your animal baby Afghan is coming along. I have wanted to try this fabric for a long time and once I saw yours again I thought now is the time to get some. I really like the box of floss organisation for your Haed and its gorgeous 😍
@rholandaboland7868 Thanks for watching. Just so you know the afghan fabric is a loose weave. I prefer stiff fabric so this is not my favorite, but it is doable.
Hello Rose. Love your videos especially the moving story. I started a project using a DMC variegated thread #104. I didn’t think to check to see if it had been discontinued before I started it. Well it has. Do you happen to have any in your stash. I would be happy to pay. Have a great day
@user-ls6vi8xb7v would you believe the only variegated I have are 105, 106, 108 and 111. I am sorry. I wish I could have helped. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for checking. I’ve been stitching since the 80’s and have made lots of mistakes. I’ll just add this project to the lesson learned file. Have a great day and looking forward to your next video
I recently found you and been watching your videos and had to say your work is beautiful! Your large snowman piece is just amazing! I love watching your videos and enjoy seeing more of them 😁 Sending big Toni hugs from the UK 🇬🇧
Great video Rose! I love your method of keeping track of your progress on your projects. I love hearing what other people do for organization! Happy stitching! 🩷 Michelle
I like your combination of words and photos for tracking progress. You have me thinking for sure. I love the bobbins too…the floss stays so much neater for me. Thanks Rose.🦉🧵🪡
Good to see you and stitch with you this afternoon. Sorry to hear of your moving truck issue, but hope everything was delivered and you are now unpacking. Happy belated birthday! Enjoyed seeing your projects!!
Gorgeous does not cover how pretty that quilt is!! I'm making stockings for my daughter's. Do you have any tips on securing the stitches for functional finishes? I'm nervous my stitches will come loose after one machine wash.
@@theokiestitcher The way I secure my stitches is to run the needle under 5 to 6 stitches then turn the needle skip the last stitch you just ran under and run the needle back under the 5 stitches. I wash pretty much everything I stitch and all my threads have stayed anchored.
@@UntwistyourStitches I wrote that down in my Book of Days. Thank you for the tip! I've been wanting to do more with my stitching but I have always worried about the stitches coming loose.
@@UntwistyourStitches my pleasure! I really enjoyed all your videos and learned a few things. I got a Flosstube; if you wanna see what I'm stitching :)
That is a very silly thing for your friend to get upset about. She was also unnecessarily aggressive, demanding to come to your house and take over. It doesn't matter how you count them. There's no Stitching IRS. Keep your records how ever you want.
Sorry you have had such a time with the move! Hopefully you'll have the rest of your stuff soon! The blanket for your granddaughter is so adorable! Can't wait to see what you stitch for the remainder of the alphabet! Hope you have a great stitching week! Happy Birthday on the 10th 🎉
Now I know the reset except if you get the rest after the 4th. We have been told that folks leaving this area have trouble finding moving help and now I know that is true. Oh my my my.
I am so sorry about your moving troubles! Two of our new neighbors here in Orofino had the exact same issue and are doing the haul it yourself in a zillion trips method.
@@UntwistyourStitches I know - I am just near you in Orofino- remember we have a mutual friend in Calif. You keep plugging along with your pretty work - and I will keep my fingers crossed that in a few days you will have all your furniture.
Hello, Good to see you posting again. It was good seeing you in April, your stitching is amazing as usual, I wish I had the time to stich to make any progress. Take care and I will look forward to seeing your next floss tube.
