This is so much different from the way I grew up. I learned to plant a garden and pick vegetables before it was meal time. Now people rub their finger on the magic screen and someone shows up with food. It provides you with work and income though so it's not all bad I suppose.
I liked your update. I haven't done a grocery delivery in over 30 years. They were kinda fun. The store I used to work at offered a delivery service once a week.
I didn't know you had another Channel. I just subbed and am your 600th subscriber. I just hate using GPS. I have to occasionally, but most of my landscaping costumers are repeat customers and I learn how to get there without any help. I can't even tell you the addresses but I know how to get there and what their yard looks like.
@@CurlyGirlLife1, Oh gosh yes. I like to look at the route beforehand if possible. You might loose internet signal and miss a turn. I can't focus on the road and on a gps screen at the same time either. My eyes are getting old and my focus adjusts much slower. I also wear glasses for distance and I have a hard time reading a screen with glasses on
Hi, my Dissertation is about the Representation of African American women during the Civil rights movement era i wanted to shed lights on overlooked women, and despite their contribution in The Civil Rights they were not mentioned enough. Moreover, it seems that I can't find enough resources or information to support my work. So please some help will be good.
Answer: it's never worth it. Reason: simple. The more you dash the more you will think that "work hard earn more". Well at this stage it's not the problem just yet. Next stage is the most dangerous stage: at first we control the game and now at this stage, the game controls you. Making $20, $25 even $30 an hour ? Hell no. Think about it. People is greedy that's how the game controls us. I am sure that not a lot of people understand only full time dashers do. (More than 50 hours week)
Wow good point! I personally can't imagine doing more than part time with DoorDash, but I can understand this thinking from those who do this full time💯
Please check with your state insurance regulations. All insurance companies will never pay out any claims, for any customers, if they use their personal use only vehicle, for earning money. Many drivers have been sued. Personal insurance policies never ever cover gig work. You are better off buying a commercial policy.
Hello, Pretty Lady! You make a very good point here. As do many other dashers. That point is this... "How can dashers, or, drivers from any platform...try to work with the app company, to achieve a goal of every order being delivered?" Can drivers petition the app company to make a set standard dollar amount, a customer has to order, with a tip included...so every order is accepted and delivered? There seems to be a big problem with many orders never being picked up. I get it. Drivers don't want to spend lots of time, money, stress, wear and tear on car...for tiny orders and no tips. Maybe, just maybe...if all, all, all...food delivery apps change their policies to include a set minimum order of say...$12, plus tip. This way, every driver sees an order which is now more desirable. And the set order should be based on a few miles radius. Say 3 or 4 miles. If your order extends beyond that radius...then the customer must pay more...for delivery. And so on. Set a radius of every so many miles....then the pay for the drivers go up.
I feel the same way. $3 orders and under is SO insulting to us. What’s crazy is, every order is deliverable, IF Doordash would just pay us a few more dollars 💵.
@@CurlyGirlLife1The hidden tip number is the key to happiness! Also remember to adjust it for peak pay times. For example in Montreal our base pay is 4$ , and our hidden tip is at 8$. So if there is 2$ peak pay the hidden pay is now 10$
