Scam. they're promising to ship for $4,500 but are very suspiciously taking $99 non-refundable pre-order deposit there's no publicly tested press kits, every media outlet reporting on them are saying the exact same canned statements (read: sponsorships) no hardware specs explaining the 'robotics' (magic) behind them. No open physical products on display, only a CGI 'x-ray' Finally my nail in the coffin, for the motor to work as advertised they'd either need microswitches in the cuffs (which would be extremely inexpensive, relatively ineffective, potential to catastrophic failure) or is an EMC conductive material like silver or nickel. (Something it can't do, due to its own advertised silicone padded cuffs. - when silicon is a natural EMI shield, the literal opposite of what's needed)

@comicpeak4560 I'm really not sure. It is a Wilderness Area and you have to go through a pay station to get in there. But there is dispersed car camping allowed off the roads so I don't know.

I descended roughly the way you took once. If you want another Iron Mountain variation, my favorite is to start at Cameron Pass as you did, but instead of the road, head due east and bushwhack up a steep but not too-bad hillside towards high point ~11350', then once above treeline, take the ridge towards the southeast over "Table Iron" (12040') and then to Iron Mountain. It avoids extreme steepness and you get views most of the day above treeline.

3:12 They should call this "Alien Overlook," see the rock structure just right of the road at the base of the protruding rock cliff. Note the eyes, the nose, the chin, and the neck that rests on a pedestal. It seems almost like the creature has hair sweeping back in the wind. If you still have problems seeing it, check out the Crazy Horse Memorial ( in progress) from a side view. I first drove this rode in 1987 and I wasn't prepared for it then, I thought I was driving a typical backroad at ground level. I didn't know it was a mountain road. It was scary then. 10 years later it wasn't so bad, the road seemed wider later or perhaps I knew what to expect by then. Thanx for the video.

Love this hike! Did you happen to find a set of Honda car keys while you were up there? lol. They came unclipped from my bag last fall when I was hiking this, had to get a ride back down from a nice gentleman on the trail, rent a car the next day, get a new key made, meet the Estes locksmith at the trailhead so he could program the key...all sorts of fun. Love your videos!

I'm trying to figure out what hikes to do on my trip up that way this month. This looks possible. Usually I just do Lake Agnes or the American lakes trail but they might have it closed to hikers while they do forestry work, or so the rumors have told me.
@nicksangetta8874
@nicksangetta8874 3 дня назад
@KFrost-fx7dt It is hard to know what they are going to be doing up there or what is closed. I have yet to find an up to date accurate source that let's me know. It's always good to go up there with a plan B and C hikes in mind just in case.
@KFrost-fx7dt

@@nicksangetta8874 in my experience the forest service does work when they get to it and when they have personnel. It's weather dependent too. Having a backup plan is always good because you don't want to drive all the way someplace and not get to do anything. I've actually discovered rediscovered quite a few gems that way.

Nick, my son and I hiked the Ute Trail on July 23 to Castle Rock and back. It was our first hike in RMNP. As we got near Castle Rock I thought I saw people coming up the trail toward us but my son said "Those are elk dad." There were 7 of them; we got off the trail around 10 feet and they all walked down the trail right past us. Anyway, thanks for your videos on the Ute Trail because that's why we went there and it was great.

@@nicksangetta8874 I think I might have the name wrong of the rock we hiked to. A guy we met on the trail called it Castle Rock, but it is not the place you hiked to in your Castle Rock video.
